For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Getting Married during "A School"!!!!
Hey Ladies, I have a question. When is a good time to get married in "A School"? What kind of paperwork does my S/O fill out to be able to get married? I heard they receive their Duty Station orders a month before they graduate is that true?
My S/O will be attending "A School" in Port Hueneme California

:) You are welcome! I just remember his recruiter kept telling him 5 weeks... then I was looking at his contract and it said 40 days... and I was like I highly doubt they count weekends and sure enough they didnt! lol Its always best to be overprepared with the military than under lol! You also might look into getting your SS card changed while you are there. When I went to get my ID the guy wouldnt change my last name on it because I didnt have a reciept from the SS office saying I was changing it! Ugh but it gives you something to do while he is working or in class during the day. Just remember other than the courthouse paperwork most of it is on him. So you might have to prod him a bit... lol well from what I have seen from some sailors.. mine including they like to be laid back on paperwork. Yeah we were told that too. But in the end it worked out ok. We just missed out on a few months of BAH lol

Navydads.com said that is 68-89 calender days so 9-12 so its not 14 weeks who knows! Yes I'll bring all those documents with me! I will stay there a week but I'll stay longer if not everything is done. We were going to get married but the recruiter lied to us as I later found out. :(
