Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 067 and 068.
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

so I got up this morning and my cell phone was dead! We turned our house phone off a couple of years ago so this is the only communication with my son. I was so scared that I was going to miss one of his calls. Went to Verizon and the guy there said just take the battery out and put it back in. This guy is my hero. I know no news is good news but I really wish we knew how they were doing! We will leave Texas on the 15th to head to GL.! Excited mom!
Hello All - my nephew is in this division. My daughter is currently in the Navy stationed in Mayport FL. I am trying to help my brother through all of this. He received his form letter a while ago but there was no password for the gatepass. Has anything changed since my daughter went through bootcamp? Hers was on the form letter.
Has anyone heard from their recruits? The last I heard from my hun was that his division (068) did well on their academic tests and they will be carrying an academic flag AT PIR!!! I sure miss my honey bun!!! I am hoping they are all doing well on this final haul! Anyone here has their loved on in division 068?!?!
yup, my son, and I really thought they would get to call today since 67 got to call. It's so cool they get to carry the flag!
Seriously!!!! I'm sure it is because they are in the push division and so working harder and longer hours than the other divisions. I'm just sure of it. :P
does anyone know how our recruits wound up in a push division? were they given a choice or were they voluntold?
From what I understand, it's luck of the draw. They were the last to arrive at GL, so they have to play catch-up with the guys who have been there several days already.
there were other recruits that are PIR a week later that arrived at boot camp before my son...
Yes!! That would be so nice! Then a week until the #imasailor (ha, see how cool his mom is, I speak in hashtags, lol!)
I have not talked to my SR since Christmas Eve, but I usually get a letter on Wednesday (and Friday after Christmas and New Years), but he doesn't give me many details! He's always been like that - I have to play 20 questions to get any info out of him. I had not heard about the academic flag! Yay! That's great. My SR is actually the "education petty officer" for div 068!
My son is in Division 068 as well. Did you get a call from your loved one this weekend? He called and we actually got to talk for about twenty five minutes. When he called, he said they were in the NEX.
