Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 059 and 060.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My last letter said that 59 would hopefully be making their "I'm a sailor" calls Friday. Keep your phones handy! Cant stop thinking how important today is for them and hoping it all goes well.

Hi, just received letter from grandon Ship 03, Div 059,  today is final PFA, test and battle stations.  If all goes well, might recieve a phone call from our "Sailor" on Friday.  So looking forward to see him on 18 Jan graduation.

Calls should start after 2 pm GL time...here is the link for BattleStations if you want more info!

Yay! We just got the "I'm a sailor" call!! Anyone else heard from their new sailors yet?

Yes I did!  I posted about it on the main page.  Wasn't it great to hear from them?  I can't wait for Friday.

I just got my "I'm a sailor" phone call!  Div 059 completed their Battle Stations overnight last night.

Yes, it was awesome to hear from her! This week is going to drag by! I can't wait to get to Chicago and see my sailor!

Just got my "I'm a sailor call"!!! My daughter passed everything. Some in her DIV (60) did not pass PT and have to retest and then do Battle Stations with another group, she said if they pass they will still be at PIR. She also got her orders. She is an airman unassigned. Evidently Pensacola is backed up due to a storm and she will be at GL for another couple of weeks. Then she will go to Pensacola for 3-4 weeks and then will be stationed in Norfolk VA on the USS Harry Truman. She sounded exhausted but so happy. I was a mess all day waiting for her call and now I am so relieved and so excited to hear from her. I can't wait till Friday!

Just got my call...it was not I'm a Sailor. My daughter missed her run time and was in tears when she called. My heart is breaking for her. She will retake & hopefully get to make the PIR on the 18th. Please say aprayer for her to give her the strength & courage to pass her PT & Battle Stations so she will be able to make her PIR with her Ship & Division. I Miss Her & Love Her. She sounded exhausted & very upset tonight she was only able to talk for 2 minutes to me. We do not know if we are heading out for PIR on the 18th or not all she said was don't cancel anything yet... She is strong & hardworking, a little prayer wouldn't hurt...

CONGRATS TO ALL THE MOMS WITH NEW SAILORS BE VERY PROUD THEY HAVE WORKED HARD!

My daughter said her best friend there did not make her run time. I wonder if its the same person. She did not say a name but that my daughter was really sad for her but she thought her friend could do it. We will pray and I know that my daughter said she was praying too. God will give her strength.

cdhixon:  I'm so sorry...but here is the good news!  She will get two more tries before PIR!  Monday and Wed mornings.  Once she passes, she will go with the next BattleStations group and she will be a sailor...so prayers!   And, yes, keep ALL RESERVATIONS!  Here is a link to a group on here who can give you great support with this.  Just click and join!

Thank You for the link. Most of all Thank You for all the Prayers from everyone, I believe that she will make it on Monday when she re-takes it. She is strong and her recruiter says they will have someone running with her this with a stopwatch because as long as she wants it they will push her through it.
