Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 109 and 110.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

CatMom, my daughters hair is not blonde anymore, she dyed it dark brown just before boot camp! They may know each other though. I'll ask her if she knows any petite Asian girls. :)

Hmm, this is interesting to see if we can id our kids w/o the rdcs knowing...my daughter's first name starts w/ a "d" and she is very fit.

Okay, my SR told me today that she doesn't know anybody's first name, just last. Her last name starts with an R. Sleeps on a bottom bunk. :)

Last name M on a bottom bunk, Asian.

I recieved a 1 hour call from my SR as well on Saturday ladies. It was nice to hear from her and hear all about the PTs and Swim tests. I was delighted to know she passed her swim test, we were nervous about that :-)! She also indicated the girls in her division are constantly not getting along and it is frustrating for her too. They all just scream at each other and don't have the camaraderie and teamwork mentality. How sad. I'm sure the guys have it together. She did mention, she be-friended a few nice easy going girls. Other than than, so far so good, she is passing everything thus far. Most of all she is recieving her letters, cards, and mail from family and friends. My SR also indicated they look foward to Sundays, because they get to go to church and it is a more relax day.

I'm eager for my next Saturday phone call!

We also got a call from our SR on Saturday.  He is Div 109.  He told us he thought they would  get this weeks call on Tuesday.  Make sure everyone keeps their phones on and with them for a midweek call!  Our son told us he was ranked up to E-2 we were very happy for him.  He told us they are getting about 5-6 hours sleep a night ... for him that is plenty ... never required loads of sleep.  It is so great to hear from them when they call.  I am so eager to hear all the details about what has been going on over the last few weeks!

Proud Dad- my husband is in the same division! I'm hoping for a midweek call as well. Maybe our SRs know each other. :)

navymom1234 and Kelso12,

It seems our daughters all feel the same about the ones who talk too much!!  I am soooo curious to know if they know each other since my SR said she does talk to some other nice girls~~  I think I will write her to ask for some names/descriptions,or where they come from.  If we private message each other, are those away from the RDCs?

I hope these females get it together soon! My SR is very diplomatic and don't like to rock the boat, I'm thinking the few bad apples have strong dominant personalities. She says they are very bossy and are recruits just like the rest of them.

Kelso12, does your username refer to your SR?

Nah, CatMom, Kelso is our cats name. ❤ I thought the same thing about private messaging. I don't think anybody else can access those except you and the person messaging you. That being said, pm coming your way. :)
navymom1234, it's nice to hear you received a 60 minute phone call! I was able to talk to my SR for 30 minutes. I never thought I would be so happy to just hear her voice! She said she's actually enjoying boot camp, aside from the "troublemakers" in the division.
Also eagerly awaiting the Saturday phone call :)
