Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 918
Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

I think they did!!!! My bf called me today around 9 o'clock, it was great talking to him.
Good Morning all,
New to this discussion thread and am looking forward to hearing from everyone here. I received 2 calls this past week from my son and they have marked their 1/2 point in boot camp. He is excited with the progress they are making and all they are learning. Since they are a performance division, my son will playing in the band for the next graduation ceremony coming up as well as for his own graduation on 3/15/13. Can't wait to be there to see him and maybe meet all of you as well.
Hello Phloughb
Nice to meet you! My boyfriend is in this division, he does not play an instrument and is not a performer. So I am not quite sure how he ended up in this division. My bf has mentioned that he has learned a lot about himself thus far in boot camp. I have already booked my flight and can not wait to attend graduation on 3/15/13!!! Hopefully we are able to meet.
Nice to meet you also. This division will be doing drill team and/or flags I think, besides the band. I believe they also have other responsibilities for the graduation ceremony as well. My SR says they have a choir, a band, and drill team. So your BF may have some other duty to fulfill. I only get about 6-10 minutes with each call and so we don't have enough time to find out about everything. I count myself lucky that I have received more than my share of phone calls, so it keeps me up to date as much as possible. Are you going to try and attend Sarge's Meet and Greet? From what I read in these forums, he usually has one the night before the PIR. I think it still too far out yet for it be listed as an event, but my girls and I are planning to be there to get as much information as possible. I hope to meet you as well. So looking forward to graduation day and spending the small amount of time with my SR.
That makes sense. And you are right there is not much you can find out in a 6-10 minute call. I am blessed that I have received five calls from my SR while at boot camp. What is the Sarge's Meet and Greet? I fly into Chicago Wednesday night and would love to attend once I know exactly what it is. I will the forums on the site. I will be traveling with my SR mom, brother and friend of the family and have to see what their plans are as well.
Roll Call: My first name is Flo and living in Northern CA. My son's rating is AM. Ship 2/Div 918, PIR date 3/15/13.
