For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

W2 difficulties
My son can only view his W2. Could someone please tell me how we can get a copy of it. We have his additional W2's at the house and need to get everything to the accountant. Can the accountant get it?

He'll have to print it from mypay website and mail it to you. They don't send a paper one. Also, he could download it and email it as an attachment then you can print it.

As was said, he is the only one who can get his W2. also the bases have free tax services for Sailors, you could send him the other W2's and he could do it himself

When your sailor logs on to his site to view the w2. Go to print the file but send it to a pdf file ( there will be list of printers and other options and save to file is one of them). Save the file on that computer in the pdf format. Have it Emailed to you as an attachment and you can print it out for your records. Good luck with that.

First year is difficult during this transition from civilian to Military. Next year will be easier, all military and as angie noted they have tax assistance they can use. I am a old accountant but still use my TaxAct software to help me prepare my returns. Too many changes in the tax laws to not have some assistance.
Please excuse me if I cry a little. The Niners only showed up for half of the Super Bowl. The Ravens deserved to win, sniff sniff.
