Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 916 and 917.

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

got a call from my son today (916) he has a cold and sounds like he's struggling it broke my heart to talk with him I wanted to jump on a plane and go get him. I can't wait for the next month to fly by can't wait to see him.

Good morning Everyone, I got a 20 minute call from my son. It made for the best Superbowl Sunday ever! He has no complaints. For years, you take your kids to church you pray with them and oftentimes when they become teenagers you wonder if any of it stuck--that His word will pull you through life's trials and tribulations. It stuck--he often leads the prayer group. You could've knocked me over with a feather yesterday. I am so grateful. He did say DIV 916 should be calling today. I hope everyone has heard from their SR by now, if not---just be a little more patient.

Proudmom - Definitely a very proud moment!  Very happy for you.  I got a call yesterday right before the Superbowl.  It was about 10 minutes and it seemed like the best ever!  He sounded good, said he should get a call today as well, but nothing yet.  I am not upset though, I got my fix yesterday :)  He says that Div 916 is doing well, amazing guys and he has 23 other SR's in the same rate.  He also said that he answered some of my questions in a recently sent out letter.  Can't wait for the letter!  Can't wait for the 8th!  I am praying for strength and patience for us all!

navymom3994 - Thanks, yes I was very proud.

Just got to hear my SR's voice!!!! Sounded good!

Congrats on all the call's...I know it makes you feel really great to hear voices not just read letters..:)  I know it does them good too!!!  If anyone thinks about it, please ask your SR's which PIR they are in...My SR said because of the gap in other PIR's from 2/8 until 3/1...that their div is only doing their own PIR...trying to get confirmation

MyKidsInNavy- what does that mean they are doing their own PIR?

MyKidsInNavy:  What???  Not sure what you are saying here.  The gap in PIRs happens every year.  They sometimes do maintenance on BattleStations ship, etc during this time...we have never heard of a division having their "own" PIR.  All of the divisions listed up top should graduate on 03/08.

Usually, the 900 division perform at a total of 3 PIR's...due to the gap in scheduled PIR's from 2/8 until 3/1, DIV 917 will only perform at their own on 3/8, and not get a chance to perform in the usual 3 total.  does that make sense?

Ok, gotcha!  That does make sense.  Wheew!  Thanks for clarifying!

Oh, ok. That's good right.... they can save their strength and energy for Battlestation.

Yep...so we will all see them in 30 days!!!
