At this point Does anyone know if you can send photos, lotion or magazines to SR. My SR left for BC on 1/8/13.
Tags:
no lotions or magazines, photos are easily printed onto regular copy paper, and same goes for any news articles or interesting articles to send to them via a regular letter. To avoid any attention to your SR, try to be sure it is only costing 1 regular 1st class stamp
Thanks so much. Good to know.
Is it bad to send a three page letter and just to be sure I placed two stamps on the letter, I just copied and paste some pics from the family BBQ on the letters which resulted in an extra 2 page? I hope she doesn't get called out for that.
When I sent a Boot Camp Questionnaire along with a SASE, I just made sure I creased it real good on the folds so it would be as flat as possible. Bulky mail usually has to be opened in front of an RDC to check for content.
Photos are usually okay...small wallet are best (they don't have much room for storage). When sent as photos on photo paper it will make the envelope bulkier and all photos will be inspected for content. Usually, if it is copied onto a letter it is better. Every RDC is different though. You can only send and then wait for a response from your SR to let you know if it was okay or not.:-)
From the RTC Website FAQ's:
Because space is limited in the barracks, recruits may receive letters and small photographs only. Please do not send your recruit packages of civilian clothing, toiletries, food items, etc. as they will not be permitted to keep them.
