Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 123 and 124

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Thanks Delaware Mom for the wonderful info.  I'm hoping for another call soon, got to keep those fingers crossed!  I have so many questions to ask.....and no answers so far.  My son is so not a writer either....he better be studying if not writing! HAHAHA....Looks like a big written test on Tuesday, sure hope they are all prepared!  I met with with some college friends for brunch today and brought a blank card and they all signed it so off in the mail to him tomorrow...need to print some fun pics of the 26 inches of snow we got this weekend, its unreal!  Hope your doing well!

When your boys were going through processing and things before leaving, did they have the opportunity to choose their own job? When Nick went through, he said the guy told him that they ran out of time and they just assigned jobs to the kids who were there that day. They have him a job that he would never have chosen on his own and his recruiter and whoever else did nothing to try to get it changed for him. Any idea if there is any hope getting that changed? That is one of the things that is bringing him down so much.

I booked our flights and hotel and am really getting excited to go out and see my SR!!  Hoping to meet alot of you at the Meet and Greet!!  Kathy :)

@ktw0715 - thanks for your support!  I keep writing, send him a survey today to hopefully fill out!  Copied some pics to send him too. I love hearing about other mom's adventures at PIR.  Hope your holding up well!

I sent my son a letter telling him what pic package I wanted. Does anyone know if I can send him a money order to pay for it when they order?

Ok Moms just received the 4th call from my SR at 4:20 Arizona time, He passed his first written test Yeah!!!! He did sound kinda homesick though but anxious to get threw the next 6 weeks. I am so glad that I was off today was not expecting a call from him today but I guess their Div is doing really good so they get to call. He did mention alot SR's did have their wisdom teeth pulled out this week, luckly my SR had them pulled a couple of years ago. I hope all you Moms get calls today.

I got a call tonight! My son said that they won't be able to make calls for the next few weeks and that was why he was calling tonight. He sounded good, happy, less sick. He said that everyone had about an hour to talk, so lines were very long so charge those phones and keep them close by everyone! I hope everyone gets their calls!

got a call tonight ! So glad to hear from him. Had a head cold and got pink eye and had a dry socket from having his wisdom teeth pulled, ( like what else could happen to him LOL) but says he's being treated for this. He Sounds good though. Says he doing alright and he passed his test on Monday. Says he won't be able to call for a few weeks now they were told. Keep the letters comming!!! My heart feel lighter tonight.

My SR called me tonite, 4th call since he left.  Was awesome since I missed his Saturday morning call because I was  shoveling out from the blizzard and the 26 inches of show we got.  He sounded great, still has a severe head cold.  Said the division is doing pretty good working together.  Written test yesterday was not bad!  Talked with him for about 30 minutes.  Best conversation I've had in three weeks (he left 3 weeks ago today).  He did say their next call should be the 'I'm a Sailor call' unless their Drill Sargent gives them another call for doing a good job on a task. Hope everyone else got a call tonite from this division, I surely know how it feels when you don't or miss it!

so Glad you got your call!!!!

I received my 4th call!!! It was great to hear from my SR!!  He said that colds, pinkeye and wisdom teeth extractions are the troubles right now.  luckily he had his pulled a few years ago, his cold is gone and he is being cautious of the pink eye!!!  He passed the written test!!  But, he said that they were the only Division without a Scholastic flag, he said it made them feel a little dumb.  That made me sad, he is so smart as I know all of your SR's are too!!! He told me they have WTI in a few days.  It was wonderful to hear from him!!!  I am so blessed to have not missed any of his phone calls.
