Hi everyone, I'm Alejandra :D
I've been on this site for a couple months now, just browsing and I didn't have the courage to sign up until a while ago. Umm, where do I start?? Well, I guess I can start by saying that I am in a relationship a Navy sailor named Andrew. We've know each other since 2nd grade and we were friends all through out grade school and high school. And a year after we graduated, we started dating and we've been together for almost 2 years now and we recently got engaged! We kind of had a head start on having a long distance relationship because I moved from AZ to NM :(
Gosh, I hope this isn't too long lol. When Andrew came to me and told me he wanted to enlist, I was nervous. But I was excited because I knew how happy he was to start a career. He leaves really soon, within a week and it's really starting to hit me that he's leaving. With that being said, I'm really excited to meet other Navy gf/fiances and wives and share our experinces with each other :D

Hi Alejandra! My boyfriend just left Sunday February 10th so perhaps our boyfriends will be inthe same division. I know how you feel about being nervous but excited about his career. It is so scary for me and I am a huge worry wart but I know he will be fine and I am sure your boyfriend will be too!
I would love to have someone to talk to all the time through this.
That would be amazing. I look forward to many conversations with you.
Hi and welcome! I know the first few months when they are in boot camp can be hard, and there can be a lot of adjustments the first year, it does get easier!
The Navy can have a lot of great opportunities for couples and for families.
Just remember to stay flexible, keep your sense of humor, give yourself and your Sailor the benefit of the doubt as far as email "tone" and stuff, and especially, that you are NOT alone as you do this. :-)
