Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 127 and 128

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hello All!! My brother is Ship 13 Div 128. Missed his call this weekend:( Was on the other line and it went straight to VM. Glad to hear his voice on a message though!

My Fiance is in Ship 13 Div 128. I cant wait for his graduation! I got a call last Saturday it was so great to hear his voice!

Did anybody else get a call today from their SR in ship 13 div 127?  My son tried to call 3 times in a 5 minute period today and I missed it.  He didn't leave a message.  I am so sad and upset and slightly worried as I heard from his last Sat (he was doing great) and didn't think they were able to call every week?? So if you talked to your SR today I will be a bit less worried..

hey sarahbngo

our son is also ship 13 div 127 we got a call from him last saturday and also got a call from him today.  he sounded good but tired. .They are outside some everyday and he said the temp was 0 today and snowing.  he also told my husband that hopefully he would get to call back soon.  i think the division is doing good.

sarahbngo- I got a call on Saturday. It was my first other than the 2 security calls. We talked for about 30 minutes, then someone came in a told him he had to get off the phone. He said Division 127 was cool. He also said he was trying to stay healthy as many of the sailors are sick. He may have to get his wisdom teeth pulled but wasn't sure yet.

My son called about 11:00 this morning. He sounded great... That was the first call I got. Sounded like everything was going great. He had no complaints about the division... Sounds like some are not getting along so good. I didn't specifically ask about it, but when I was asking about other stuff with the division, he was very positive.
I talked to my SR today he said they all did really good on their test they took and got their first flag, whatever that means. I could hear he has a cold and he said mostly everyone there has a cold but that they were overall doing pretty good.

Sydney our son also talked about having a sinus infection.  He said just about everyone had a sinus infection or a cold.  he was really excited about getting new clothes. he said he had gotten his dress navy blues and whites, another pt coat and some more clothes.  he had pulled night watch last night and had been up for 20 out of 24 hours.  i think they are doing good too from the way he talked, we were so thankful to get to hear from him again this weekend.

Thank you ebennett, Sydney, and Dalton's mom.  I am now relieved that it was a routine call home :)  sad I missed it but so glad to hear that they earned their first flag and that they are all doing really good :)  I know my son will have no issues with the cold weather as he is one to wear his shorts all through the winter.  I was more worried seeing the recruit pics on facebook they posted yesterday with ski masks over their face that he would be too hot.  If you haven't already seen the pics here is the website http://www.facebook.com/#!/NavyRecruitTrainingCommand?fref=ts

I didn't see my son, however in any of the pictures... I hope they post some more!!

your very welcome sarahbngo....I cant wait to see our children at PIR!!!

I am also curious to know if anybody has received a letter from their SR.  I have not received a personalized letter as of yet.

Bizarre, well I am not surprised as mine is not much of a writer- :)  I don't expect to see much but it would have been nice to get a hi!  I will keep checking the mailbox... and keeping my phone close incase there is a chance for a call tomorrow during "holiday routine" but I won't hold my breath... sigh...
