Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Ok.....hate to be totally dumb but.....what is all of the above? Is there any way to know when your sailors PIR is from the date they go to BC?

The above are those that are going to boot camp with their dates and rates. My daughter is on the navy dep website for april shippers, so she is on that list.
My daughter ships on the 10th, she is an AZ. I expect her PIR date to be June 7th as long as she doesn't get held back for any reason.

How old is your daughter, what is her rate and is she ready to go?
Where is your daughter leaving from?
My daughter is 24 her rate is AZ. She is so ready to go and will be there on the 10th of April.
This is my second time around, my youngest had her PIR in Sept and is stationed in Virginia.
I would be happy to help with any questions you might have.

Hi kander my daughter is 19 (20 in May). She is going in as HM and leaves from Spokane Washington. My daughter is excited and nervous. She has been going through all of her things and boxing them up. She has an A Box that she is working on and has a garage sale planned. It is nice to come across someone else with a daughter going in at the same time.

Tell your daughter that it's not so bad. My daughter that graduated last year said that it is about following orders and paying attention to detail.
The hardest part for her was living with 80+ girls. She also advises not to get involved in any of the drama that goes on.
Is your daughter counting down the days?
My daughter will be leaving from Syracuse NY even though we live in Northeast PA
Will you be going to PIR? I expect that will be June 7th

Hi kander! Thanks for the info...I passed it along to my daughter. She doesn't like to get caught up in drama so hopefully she will stay detached!
She is counting down the days and is nervous and sad at the same time.
