For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

My son left yesterday 02/12
My son left yesterday and I was hoping to connect with other family members who have a son/daughter that left then as well. I am new to this sight and and still trying to figure out how to find the information that I need. What a great place to get info and connect with others as we need all of the support that we can get.

You will receive the form letter next, which should be mailed Tuesday since tomorrow is a federal holiday and he will be on P-Hold rather than P-5. He should be able to mail the first "real" letter next Monday because he should be in his ship by then since he arrived at the beginnnning of the week.

We are still waiting for Mikes box. It looks like it was attempted to be dropped off at his moms but no one was home to accept it and because of the holiday its going to take longer :/. I cant wait for my ffirst real letter from him though no matter how short it will be.

Hi All
My daughter left on 2/11 out of Anchorage Ak.I haven't yet recieved anything, it may take a little longer since we are farther away. I am super anxious to recieve word of her graduation date so I can purchase airline tickets to go and see her. So am I hearing that we will recieve a letter the second or third week?

I would think you should get it i a few days we got ours from our SR and he arrived the same day asyour daughter.

So My daughter is also in Ship 03 DIV 143. I got the first letter that has the brochure in it Friday and I got a phone call from her Saturday morning. Did you also get a call? I was suprised to hear from her so soon. She wasn't very happy and very homesick. It may be different for girls than guys as far as showing alot of emotion. Since the phone call I have been very worried... I feel better in the evenings when I know she is probably resting. I still have not received the box but at this point would rather have a letter from her. Hopefully the next time they get to call she is more adjusted. Thanks for listening.

Yes we got a call on Saturday. My call from my boyfriend only lasted a minute but it was great hearing his voice again. Perhaps your daughter didnt send the thingsback? But i dont know why she wouldnt have. Don't worry about her too much and write often. Remember that while we are left behind at home and have to go through them being gone they have one another for support in their division. Things wil be fine and letters and pictures will raise morale. I even like to include cartoons and articles to give my SR something to read and to pass around to keep things a little more exciting and to bring a little bit of home to him.
