Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 918

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I am glad I am not the only one! Everyday is one day closer for me to see my boyfriend! Flight, hotel and rent car booked!!! Hope everyone had a wonderful day.

Roll Call: My first name is Bridgette, I live in Northwestern CO. My son's rating is MA. Ship 2/Div 918, PIR date 3/15/13.

Good Morning Everyone!  3 more weeks to graduation!  Yipee!

Good Morning Bridgette,

Hope all is well with you.  Have you heard from your son?  It is has been nearly 2 weeks since my last phone call and my son the 'non-writer' hasn't written me either.  I am hoping to get a letter in the mail box soon.  Daughter and I have booked our flight, hotel, and car.  We are ready to go!  Gonna do some shopping this weekend since I need some cold weather clothing. My last conversation with my son was him telling me to dress warm because he knows how easily I get cold.  Hopefully we will be able to meet with everyone when we get there!  Have a great day today!

I haven't heard anything for 2 weeks, as well. The 900 Facebook page, one of the 918 Mom's posted she got a 5 minute call today. So, I have my fingers crossed the rest of our SR's get to call.

That was me that got a call!  I was so happy, but worried at the same time. She didn't pass her second run test and said that she had shin splints. She had been to medical for the Crud and sounds better than she did 2 weeks ago.   The division seems to be doing great.  They got a 5.0 on divisions and have earned all their flags.  She mentioned a National Defense flag or ribbon, but I'm not sure what that means.  She was talking so fast, it was hard to understand it all.

I didn't get a phone call today and not mail either.  I am being patient, waiting, and counting down the days to PIR.  See you all then.

I am, happy to hear anything about  your loved ones on the triple threat! All I heard wa that my son's back round check didn;t pass for what he wanted to do and that he is playing the trumpet in both graduations and that he liked his group! he is 26 so it'sbeen awhile since he has been in organized activities. So i was happy. i am  the one in Saudi Arabia flying back for the graduation! I would love to hear any news about the ship!!! Will we all sit in the same location for graduation/ And if there is anyone who can;t be there we will be happy to take your son or daughter under our wing. i will have 3 daughters with me!! may the Lord bless this experience for all of us! sunnysandy

Wow sunnysandy57!  That sounds like a pretty long trip.  Your son will be so happy to see you and the sisters.  My son played in his high school band so he like's being in the performance division.  I understand they will have yellow scarves with their dress blues and yellow ropes on their shoulders.  How proud you must be of your son he gets through this experience.  Hope to see you there at the PIR!

Yipee!!  Got my letter today from my SR!  He said they just got through with hell week.  He indicated the division has passed their inspections and big test with higher than average scores and are one step closer to Hall of Fame.  I am so happy to hear from him and we are only about 2 weeks away from his PIR.  This will definitely keep me going until it is time for graduation.

:-) me too! Three to be exact, my SR said the same and they received a scholastic flag. He  also would like to know which SR moms I met through the site. I am glad to hear from him and glad the division is doing well. I hope the upcoming weeks fly by!!

How wonderful for you!  We are getting close to our PIR.  I am so excited.  I got another letter today from my SR.  I had sent him a questionnaire to fill out to answer some questions about how he is doing.  He sent it back all filled out and added his own additional letter to me along with it.  I was beside myself with joy.  I hope to see you at the Meet and Greet and will definitely see you at the PIR.
