Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 127 and 128

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

hey sarahbngo

we havent received any hand written letters from our son either.  when i talked to him yesterday he said he had written several but had not had time to address alot of them but that he was going to mail them out today.  i ask him if he was getting our letters and he said he was.  he said "mom I'm sooo tired I just havent had time to get them addressed and mailed out".  I told him not to worry about it, that all I wanted was for him to concentrate on what he needed to do, to get some rest and get well (he had said they he and most in his division were sick with colds and sinus infections). I know he'll write when he can, he's like your son, not much of a writer...lol....but I'm like you we'll just keep watching that mailbox and yeap one of these days it'll have a letter in it.

Exactly!  When I had talked to my son last week he had a cold too..  Must be awful to be sick and have to endure so much!  Hopefully on the sinus infections they are giving them something to take so it doesn't get too bad.  :(

Southwest has a special on airfare-today is the last day and there are no fees if you have to change your flight-tickets (credit would have to be used by the original ticket holder-non-transferable).  From Seattle-Chicago roundtrip was 313.00. I am arriving Thursday 21st and leaving Sunday.. Is anybody planning on attending the Sarge's meet and greet??

Pretty sure I missed another call from my son..  I am gettng pretty depressed :(  Hope all is okay... I got up from my desk and missed the call.  :(  Don't know why he was able to call on Saturday and then again today - no news is good news and now I am freaking out.  Let me know if anybody else got a call today.

sarah, sorry to hear that.  They got to call because it should be their last call for 3 weeks unless they somehow earn another call.  I think they were a call behind other divisions.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/334073426696831/   This is the link to the Facebook group for our PIR, it seems more people frequent it and it's easier to get information.

Okay good to know.  Thank you.  He only tried once and on Saturday he tried to get ahold of me 4 times.  I was so ready for him to try again.  LOL!  I almost wish there were no calls so I don't have this rollercoaster thing going on.  I will await for his snail mail then...

Finally received my first letter from my son-Happy MOM!  Funny thing is he told me to be ready for his Tuesday call but guess he didn't consider the amount of time it takes for a letter to get from IL to Seattle.  haha!  Anyhow he is sick like everyone else-said he folds all day long and that part is annoying but mentioned he is the best at shoe shining..  Misses music and wants the letters too keep coming..  Just realized only 29 days until PIR!!!  How exciting!  Looking forward to meeting some of you while I am there. A few more days and they will be at the half way point..

thats wonderful news sarah....we still havent received any hand written letters from our son, I'm really glad you got to hear from yours.  I'm hoping by now they are all feeling better, maybe they have got to see a doctor and got some medicine for those sinus infections.  Yeah I just looked at the calendar and realized one month from today is PIR....I'm so excited, its gonna be sooo wonderful to see them.  Hopefully they will get to call again soon.  Soo very very proud of them all!!!

Didnt get a call from our son today but we did get our first hand written letter from him yesterday.  He said they were doing good and that he was looking more and more forward to the "real" Navy as he put it.  He also said the chiefs and petty officers were pretty cool now and they were all fair.  I just cant wait till PIR...03/22 cant get here soon enough...cant wait to see our son!!!

Got a letter from my son yesterday. He had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled...2 days before they took their ID pictures! He said he looks like he put on 60 lbs because his cheeks were so swollen. He was appointed the Education Petty Officer a few weeks ago and their division has already earned the academic flag (I think). He also said things are starting to move much quicker now.

Bless his heart Melissa.....our son had all his cut out when he was 17, he did fine just took a few days for the swelling to go down.  I'm so glad you got to hear from your son, sounds like hes doing good.  I was just thinking this morning that its only 3 weeks till PIR.....so they're getting closer and closer as each day goes by.  Keeping them all in our prayers.
