Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 107 and 108.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I am so happy that this is here!  I an anxious to talk to any MOMs out there who's son is in Ship 11, DIV 107 or 108!  My son, Alec is on DIV 107.  I just heard from him yesterday!  We got to talk for 15 minutes... it was wonderful!  He is doing really well, except a lot of the SR's are getting sick with the flu.  He said about 20 guys from his division are down because of it.  I got a letter from him as well, but it was one of the questionnaires that I printed from this site.  They are great to print and send because there are a bunch of questions that they can answer and he does not have to write a whole lot of stuff down.  He has passed his physical and the written test already so he has gotten moved up to E-2 pay grade.  He felt so good about that!  He said his division just got an academic flag for good test scores as well!  Good going guys!!!   I was so down just a week ago until I got to talk to him last Saturday for 2 minutes and then yesterday.  Hang in there... when you get a letter or a call it is going to make all of the difference.  I am excited to get to know you all, so please write to me!

My son is Rio...  Ship 11, DIV 107. Just got a letter from him today and they start battlestations tonight. Just thought I would let you know..... they are a tough group and am sure they will do great!

tlramelot, please read OPSEC rules so that we don't get our SR's in any trouble...we are not allowed to post about when our BS21 takes place... Thanks!  private messages are encouraged though :)

Hi all!  I hate I haven't been able to get on the last couple of days.  I am a teacher and it is kicking my butt with time required right now, but I have nothing to complain about when I think about where our boys are!!  I got to talk to mine yesterday!!!  Can't explain my excitement!  He was one of the one's with the bug but no fever so I don't think it is the flu.  Have been praying and believing he will be well immediately! I'm with the rest of you in that it turns an otherwise crappy day into an awesome day!  My feet barely hit the floor today!

Thankful45, thank you for your kind comments!

Thanks to all of you for sharing your thoughts and hearts on this site.  It really does help having others to walk it with you!!

Hope you all have a blessed weekend!!

Morning moms of 107/108!  Just trying to picture our SRs passing the flu to each other and remembering when they were 5 and at kindergarten doing the same thing...

Another beautiful day!!!  How are we all doing today???!!   I just finished up my daily letter to my son...I threw in a photocopied picture of me, hubby(he was boyfriend back then), gram, and Greatgram from MY Navy bootcamp graduation from 1986...I wanted him to see that all the important people that love him will be there to celebrate with him!   I sure he's thinking---if MOM can do it....ANYBODY can!  hahaha

My son was one that came down with the "crud" also...still coughing, but getting better every day.

I forgot to ask him about chapel there...have any of your guys mentioned going?  Just curious...

I sure do feel at peace this weekend now that we've heard from him....not gonna worry anymore.  He's got this!  They all do!

Afternoon thankful45-forgot to ask about chapel.  Had the same feeling-not as neurotic worried but at ease a tad!   I actually went to the laundry room without my phone this morning!  Just for 3 minutes and it was right back in my pocket...

We are counting the days to PIR!!!  It cannot get here fast enough.  Our last call from our son was positive and reassuring.  Making arrangements for 3/8/13.

Good morning to all of you! We are recovering from the dreaded flu in our house! My hubby and I were sick in bed from Sunday until Thursday until we could finally get back to work!

It seems like we are all transitioning on this discussion board from crying, concerned (but still proud) moms when our boys first left to more confident, happy even more proud moms! I am so glad the first couple of weeks are over and we have talked to our boys.

Oh Alecsmom I hope you are all better.  Hate the flu!  Sounds like our SRs are getting along and working together.  Everyday closer to PIR

OK I'm  booked into Springhill Suites looking forward to seeing all of you at PIR

we still aren't booked anywhere yet...trying to decide whether to fly or drive now.  Spirit has reasonably priced flights from here and I have family in IL meeting us.  SIL is gonna keep the 5 year old with her while the rest of us watch PIR.  Where to stay?....decisions, decisions!   Gotta get hubby to make up his mind asap!

Alecsmom-ugh! so sorry the flu bug has found you!  glad you are on the mend.

So tomorrow is Sunday...I know one SR who better be writing his mama another letter!!  Then I guess Monday is

3-2 day, right?
