Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 131 and 132
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

That's ok - it takes a while to get all these terms in your head, lol. Wow you are going to have a full car load. We have 4 of us going - me, my son-in-law and his two kids. My husband can't make it because they are doing a special project that weekend at his job. I am really hoping for weather at least in the 40s or 50s for Easter weekend. I don't want to deal with any snow. My son in law was going to drive but I insisted that I take the baby on the plane with me and then he decided to fly too.

MartiB-I believe that they will do just fine as well. I am SO EXCITED to head north for the PIR ceremony. We live in Evansville, Indiana. We are staying at the Navy Lodge and yes, we are attending Sarge's Meet-n-Greet. Are you coming by yourself?
I had not heard about the divisions having a section to sit in. That is actually good news I think. There is definitely a learning curve involved here. Thanks for the info!

I am from small town in Iowa, near Des Moines. We will be driving over. I have not received a call in a week, and last letter was stamped the 25th of Feb, :( I too now assume the next call I get will say he is a Sailor! That will be awesome, but hope to get a letter this week. The only way I know what is going on, if from all the posts from all the families. I did hear we have assigned section to sit for our division, just not sure what section that is, or when we will find out. Does anyone know?

We are driving up as well. Map-quest is telling me that it is approximately a 6 1/2 hour drive. We are leaving midmorning on the 28th to arrive mid-afternoon so we can check into Navy Lodge and maybe drive around the area before it gets dark. This past Saturday it was 2 weeks since I spoke with my SR. The letters are wonderful, but definitely not a replacement for hearing his voice. Definitely looking forward to meeting :)

I got such exciting news today. My SR was chosen to be a section leader. I am so very very proud of her. She said that they will be guiding off of her during PIR, I guess marching band really taught her something she will be able to use after high school. Who knew? LOL Does anyone know what a collar device is because she says she has one...

Our girls are in "brother" divisions. My daughter said that at PIR we need to sit in section 5 - I wonder if div 132 is also in section 5???
I think they will do Battlestations together but not 100% sure. So glad they are doing hands on stuff now, less boring I imagine:)

My son is in Div 132 also. But I haven't heard from him this week. Has anyone heard how they did this week? Also if you haven't made reservation for graduation. The base has a nice place to stay with great prices and a wonderful staff.

My son is in 132 as well and I didn't hear from him this week either. Maybe they are really busy! Can't wait for graduation. Staying at the Ramada.. Attending Meet and greet there.

My son told me this last week was Hell week and he might not be able to call this weekend. But I was hoping someone else might of heard from their child and would know how the Div made out over all. Can't wait to see how differnt our boys will look. We're coming from Texas and I'm hoping for nice weather. Take Care
