I think I accepted- I'm new both at this  and using a new computer so hope I didn't mess up!

We're about 9 hours away from what I can tell. But we'll still be driving up for PIR.  Glad it will be summer time then.

Oh it will definitely be worth it!  I'd drive across the whole country to see him.....nothing will stop me... :)

Good afternoon Ladies!  How are all of you doing?  Can you believe how fast time is passing?  Look forward to hearing from you!

Cindy

I know what you mean!  Everything is moving in a blur.....  Granddaughters bday is Saturday, oldest stepson's wedding next week, then son is going to Gatlinburg with Chamber Choir the next weekend to perform at Dollywood, then the next weekend is prom, then spring concert the next, then graduation on May 18th, his 18th bday on June 9, leaves June 26th.  We've decided to do graduation/bday/going away party on his bday since it is right in the middle of all three.

We've got to stick together,  Trying not to dwell on the leaving part, cause I lose it everytime I do..... :(

Hi Kim!  Sorry for the delay in responding, we took a little trip with our kids to the mountains.  Welcome to our group!  Look forward to talking with you and getting to know you.  I'll send you a friend request.

Cindy

Hi everyone .. my daughter leaves the 25th from AZ .. does anyone know if all these kids will be "together" in boot camp?

I was wondering so that we can all keep in touch .. support eachother .. meet in IL for PIR ..

Hi evetnaz! Welcome!

From what I can gather they will probably be at bootcamp at the same time, but small chance of them being in the same division.  there are several divisions in each training group, but more than likely will graduate at the same time (but not definitely), some may be in the PIR group the week before if they arrive earlier in the week and there is a division from the week before that needs SR's to fill their division.

We definitely all need to keep in touch and try to meet at one of the Meet & Greets (I'm thinking my family will probably go to Sarge's Meet & Greet).

I will send you a friend request as well.

Great to have you with us!  Sorry there was a delay in responding to you. Been crazy busy with HS graduation coming up, Senior year activities, bdays, etc.

Have a great day!

Cindy

Hi Cindy,

We have been busy also with the same stuff.  We will probably also attend Sarge's Meet & Greet.

Thank you for the friend request. We will definitely keep in touch .. maybe someone here will be in the same division as my daughter. Lol .. she already thinks I'm crazy for joining Navy Moms ..

Just found out, my daughter is leaving June 26, 2013.

It's been August 26 since she joined the DEP on Sept. 11.

They changed it to Nov. 12 earlier this month, then on the day she turned 18, it was changed to June 26.

Cried for a day, but better now......... for now, lol

Welcome to our group!  So glad to have you here!  Wow...that's a big move to adjust to.  I certainly have my moments crying too, more often the closer it gets.  We'll be here to support each other through this and it will be awesome to meet at PIR too!

After this week I should be able to be on here more, just so busy with graduation Saturday and all that has lead up to it, as I know the rest of you are really busy too.  I'll send you a friend request as well so we can communicate that way as well. I have notifications that come through to my email on my phone that i keep up with what is going on, so will see any messages you send.

Cindy

So sorry it's been a while. Laurin Turned 18 on the 9th, awards day at school was the 17th (all the kids going into the service got standing ovations), her grad party was the 18th (turned out awesome), she graduates in 2 days! (Friday) and Saturday her sister is taking her on a tropical vacation as her grad present.

We've.........been busy lol.

I accepted your friend request, and I see below that you're from TN. I'm in north Alabama and Laurin will leave from Nashville MEPS. She should be stationed in Cory Station for 30 weeks of school after boot camp.
