Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My son was 1204-10 and Graduated ; was on hold ; broke his hand during Christmas leave, still at Goose Creek and will find out in April sometime if NY or SC for May. I hope your son is doing Well!

Does your son ever say anything about the training ships? My son says 3 oud of the 4 need repair. He is still waiting to start Prototype since July. Told me this weekend that " Faulkner " told them ttey were going to be on hold a long time. as if 8 months isn't long enough.

Wow so there is July 2012 with Nov 2012 now May 2013 classes will be on Grad hold? Yikes! Thats alot of good young men and women waiting to move on...lets just be thankful they are where they are suppose to be and in the Good Lords time they will be elsewhere. I'm sure its more frustrating for them to be waiting. My son said there always fixing the SC ships; they have an alternating "breakdown" mode. LOL never can get all up and running together...

Son now called and said they are classing everyone up Monday now. He said the usually class size is around 160 and the new one is going to be around 350. Wonder if this is what will happen or will they change their minds again.
