Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisons 167 and 168.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Sounds like a rough week for most of 167/168. My son is in 168 and yesterday was really rough on him. I hope he wasn't the one in the arguement last night. Not in his nature for sure but he had wisdom teeth pulled and evidently closed his eyes during letter writing and endured some rough individual ITE prior to his phone call home. He said he didn't even know his eyes closed :-( By the end of the phone call he seemed to be better. He just gets emotional hearing our voice and got to talk to his brother for the first time since leaving yesterday. Emotional but I am one proud momma to see those boys miss and support each other at the age of 15 and 19. love to you all and lets have a fabulous week!!

Anyone know if there has been a group set up for A School in Pensacola or Mom's of Aircraft Handler's? I don't know the abbreviation so bring on the help :-)))

Yes Tan"s Mom there is a group called Sailors in Pensacola, Fl for A school

I got my 2nd letter from my son today(wed) it was very short. He said he is homesick like crazy, and is beginning to feel broken and really wants to be home. I'm so upset and worried right now and i don' t know what to write to him.... any suggestions would be welcome.

Just let him know he can do this. It will get better for him in just a couple more weeks the first ones are the hardest, and they do try to break them the first few weeks.

Remember, when he wrote that letter he may have been overly tired, even more than usual, which will cause all kinds of emotion. He may have even been over the wanting to be home a couple hours after he mailed it.

The first couple of letters are always the hardest to read for a mom!!!

just got call from son. they earned a flag did well on exam. He said they got this call because sailors that were getting held back get to make call. He didn't think anyone in division is getting held back. Couple failed yesterday studied hard last night and passed test. So good news for all. He sounded sick still but a lot better mentally. Things are getting better! yay!

Just got off the phone with the wife. She got a call from our SR, my first thought was "oh no." He said all is well, very happy. They did very well on their test on Monday and earned an academic flag. Said his RDC gave them a call. He is getting lots of mail from us and friends and family. Said his bunkmate is from Kansas, but the wife could not make out the name. She said there was a ton of background noise. Was thrilled that he called her. She is getting use to his being gone, but it makes her day to hear from him. Sounds like they are hitting their stride and really working together.

Anyone heard from their SR in 168???

yes 168 everyone passed test scabbie outbreak over with no one else affected. 167/168 drill together so both earned flag. Doing well get haircuts tomorrow.

said they will be on 3-1 tomorrow for those that have day to day sheet printed out. Anyone with the last name williams out there from Texas friends with my son.

Thank you thank you thank you...I was getting into a small panic.  Yeah guys and gals of 167/168!
