Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 121 and 122

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Just rechecked the weather and the snow forecast is gone, yay! I hope it stays away as we really want to make it up there from Texas for the PIR. Our daughter is an EM and will be staying at Great Lakes for A school so we wanted to spend Saturday visiting her. We haven't heard from her in several weeks, and the last time we spoke to her she was promoted to RPOC so I am guessing she is way too busy to write any more. She had two years of Marine JROTC in high school and started as an E2 in boot camp so I guess her previous training has helped her. Kind of wished she would have stayed in JROTC another year as she could have been an E3. Either way I am happy she is doing well as I am sure all of your sons/daughters/ family members are! If I hear anything new I will be sure to let y'all know   :)

Hello fellow parents

I have great news,  I just the call and Div 122 ship 14 all change their hats from recruits to navy....We all have some awesome children , well sailors now, I'm looking forward to next Friday....Go Navy!!!!!

Sorry I didn't post earlier, just got home. I too got the call and my daughter says she is still the RPOC so at least I should be able to spot her at PIR next week lol.

Congratulations to everyone! Good job and see y'all in a week  :)

Heading to ORD, Due to connections I'm starting my flights in few hours arriving today late at night. I would like to meet other parents from Ship 14 in person. Most likely we will attend the sarge's M&G. I hope we can connect.

arrived and is freezing.....

we all back home and son In San Antonio. the M&G at Sandance was ok...the most important was how avoid the morning traffic by taking MLK east pass the first railroad tracks but before the second turn right and then straight to gate 8 for graduation. My personal opinion go through the main gate and park next to NEX or the chapel. Most SR heading that way to "SR Paradise" after the graduation. with 13 DIV graduation wasn't too much traffic going out. Tip for Departure:  my SR was dropped at O hare  terminal 2 door  D2 around 130 am. we arrived around 230 am and spend the day in the terminall with him. He was flying AA and Americans Admiral's Club in terminal 3 has showers. Since he had his order they waived teh $50 fee and we were placed to spend half day there. He took  shower an hour  and he really enjoy it( much better than the 3 minutes in GL) AA provides all the amenities for the showers. Also is a hidden USO next to TSA on the far left of terminal 3. Great staff and very accommodating ladies with free snacks and drinks
