I was thinking about it but I don't know any details. Do you know when we should expect to hear something?.

Did here from your son about the cruise?

Hi have you heard anything from your sailor?

I am going!

At this point you should have heard from your sailor and filled out a registration form and a medical questionaire. I know that my son could only have one person, not 2, due to the high number of requests. And it has something to do with rank as well.

I haven't gotten any official word since I sent the forms in, just my son telling me I was on the list.

But I can't wait!!! Although I'm a little nervous too.

AND- I just heard the arrival date got moved up 3 days, so that would change the dates of the cruise as well.

I wish I knew officially, as I need to buy plane tickets!

can anyone tell me where the best place to reserve a hotel room in san diego, near the base would be?  I have not heard anything about a cruise and am totally clueless as to it or when it is.  I also know that my daughter who is on the USS Rushmore told me we had to have a request form filled out by April 8th..  Anyone that can help me out would be great.  I need to make reservations asap

Thank you

Navy Mom Terri

hello, sorry I didnt get back to you sooner, I was out of town...I have heard from my sailor, but she has not said anything, as she is not allowed to say anything due to the OPESC, what are you talking about the date has changed? My daughter is on the USS RUSHMORE.  What is the date now?  I already booked my flight as to the date I was given and they are non refundable tickets

Hello Terri430 I havent heard from my sailor in a couple of days. I want to book my flight

but Im scared the dates are going to chan, also I haven't heard anything about if I was accepted

to go anyways. I wish I knew the dates so I can get a ticket before its to late and the last minute. If you heard anything will you let me know please. I would like to know where you traveling from I need a buddy.. lol

Hello Katonia,

I am not planning on going on the Tiger Cruise, as I cannot afford that trip from NC to Hawaii....I will be flying out of NC to San Diego in two weeks, I am flying in for the Homecoming.  I booked my flight two weeks ago because the prices kept going up and I was afraid that if I had waited they wouldbe too expensive for me to attend the homecoming.  WHere you flying out of?

My child that is on the USS RUSHMORE has not mentioned anything to me as far as dates or anything like that, since it is our understnading they are not allowed to give us that information.

I am flying out of Dayton Ohio. I guess Im going to get my ticket.

From what I understand, information should be coming out today.

We should get a letter from the ships command with some info, and the rest of the info will come from our sailor.

If you are on Facebook, a lot of good information can be obtained from

FRG Supports USS Rushmore on Facebook.

It is a closed group, and they have to approve you, but they have some info as well.

what is the Tiger Cruise?

A Tiger Cruise is an opportunity for family to ride on the ship with their sailors. Currently, there is one planned from Hawaii to San Diego at the end of this deployment.
