Hi, my daughter is 22, and she is heading off to bootcamp on April 17th from Boston.  I don't know what her "rate" is, but she will be a Master at Arms.

Anyone have a recruit shiiping out on April 28th?

My daughter leaves April 16th, 2013. She is in North Carolina and she is leaving from there. I am in Miami Florida so I will not be able to go with her to MEPS and see her when she is sworn in, how ever my son (Air Force) and her best friend (who will be leaving NAVY on June 10th, 2013) are going to be there, and although they can not use WI-FI we figure we could use SKYPE  I phone app. is this going to be possible? Thank you in advance for all the help and support.

I just got the last call from my son who just arrived at Great Lakes. I was doing good up until I got that call.. I just lost it. He did the scripted call and said he will call in in about 3 weeks.. OMG... I can't stop crying is this normal?

I don't know, Nina, but my son leaves next Sunday, and I've cried a river already! I can't imagine how it will be once he's really gone. I will be saying prayers for you to help you through!

My daughter leaves from Boston on April 17.... soon!

My son leaves April 21st (to MEPS). I'm nervous that we won't get something done that needs to be done, or something that will make his experience better. lol. Thanks to all of the moms (and dads!) who went before us and share their experiences!!

My daughter just boarded the plane for Chicago! Wishing all the other April deppers smooth sailing Hooyah!

My son left yesterday, from Baltimore, for bootcamp! There were many times today where I caught myself thinking "I wonder what he‘s doing now at this very minute." Anyone else out there whose son or daughter left yesterday?

Our son did!

My son flies out April 22nd, too! He'll be AM. He's leaving from Knoxville, TN (we live in Kentucky). So, our boys will be in bc together! How are you doing? I found the "things to do in the last month" helpful, but I didn't see it until 2 weeks ago, so trying to make sure I've done everything - so afraid I'll miss something. lol. Best wishes for your son!

When our son left last Wednesday (4/10/13) special opps - seal contract.  He said he would update us on his mailing address.  He asked for several things, one of which was a slim line Bible.  I have made that purchase, and written him everyday just holding the letters for now) but I have no idea where to mail it.  He did not call the other day, upon arrival (I don't know why and wonder if this is normal) and I know by now he has had his personal belongings removed. Any idea how I can get his package and mail to him?
Thanks much,
Michelle
