Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 175 and 176.
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Is it possible for you to scan and send me the invitation?
I didn't get one. I just heard some of the other ladies talking about it. I thought we could just all go.
But how can we go without the invitation?
Oh no. I am confused I am sorry. the letter I was talking about was a personal letter from my son last week and hope to get one tomorrow. I got the letter for the invitation to his graduation two weeks ago.
Oh now i understand. I did not receive any letter and i am really anxious why???? Where are you coming from?
Washington State and you? I wonder if there is someone you can call to get the letter or atleast find out where it is.
Do you know where is your son going after the BC?
He will stay in Great lakes for his school and then not sure after that. What about your son?
Is he also a corpsman as my husband?
Just a gentle reminder (in general...not aimed at the post-er, but because the subject came up :-))
The Form Letter that you receive from your SR (Seaman Recruit) contains a Password that allows you to obtain your Vehicle Gate Pass 11 days prior to PIR from the RTC Website (Upcoming Graduation page). This password is confidential and may not be passed along casually. Form Letters with the information from your SR should not be scanned and passed along either. (We have an exemplar on this site with the personal info whited out).
Form Letters are sent out by the Recruit and they choose whom to send it too. They fill out the pertinent info including the intended guest list. 7-10 days before PIR they update their intended guest list and turn it into Security for PIR. Security makes their master guest list from this. The Form Letter is just for you to know who your SR wishes to invite. If you need to make changes please communicate with your SR. Once the Final list is turned in it cannot be changed. The Form Letter is not your entry to PIR nor are there any tickets...just your name on the Security list.
Marika - Was your husband supposed to send the Form letter to you or is it possible that he sent it to another Family Member?
Good night and talk to you tomorrow. Take care!!!!
I got a letter from my SR yesterday. He had one wisdom tooth taken out on 3-25. He said that there were 22 guys from his division who were in SIQ (sick in quarters) because of wisdom teeth being taken out.
