Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 175 and 176.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Is anyone one line whose SR is in Div 176 ship 14 with the PIR on May 3?

Good Morning.

Have you heard from your SR son?  Do you already received the form letter?  do you know their address so i could write to my SR husband telling him i did not received anything.  I worry that i will not be able to attend the PIR on May 3, w/o the invitation.  Are you planning on attending the meet and greet meeting the night before, May 2?  Do you already know when and where this event will be hold?  Pls. let me know, since i have no way of finding out from my RC and time is running out!!!  Thanks a lot!!!

Marika - I'm sorry this experience is going so badly for you. It would be killing me if i could not have talked to my husband by now. I probably would have driven up to GL to see what was going on!! LOL

Follow this link. It shows you how to address mail to your SR. http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/contact_recruit.asp

Inbox me if you have trouble following how this webpage is set up.

My question is how do you know what Ship/Division your husband is in? That would have been on the form letter that you should have gotten. How do you really know he is graduating on May 3? That also would have been on the form letter. The form letter also tells you what address to use to send mail to your SR.

OR are you saying you've gotten the form letter and no other contact since then??

Either way, this isnt adding up for me...

I did get one letter from him with the info for a DOD ID card.  That is how i know, which division and ship he is on.  Also, i called the general number and after i told them the name they told me when he graduates and other, however, very limited info.  The rest they said i have to get it from him and i did not because i have not heard from him.  I am hoping for this weekend!!!  Also, i just called the number one of you gave me and was told not to worry because we still have time.  So now i am at ease and less stressed.  Does it make sense now?

If you are his spouse then all the paperwork should be sent to you. He shouldn't have sent anything to his parents or anyone else. I guess there is always that chance.

Honestly, I was worried that my husband wouldn't remember our address!!! Could your husband have sent it to the wrong address?

The main thing you need from the form letter is the Gate Pass password for graduation weekend. That is only if you are planning on driving your car onto the Navy's land.

I hope you can get a letter to him and find out what has been going on. The SR's can only send mail on Sundays so the quicker you can get a letter to him the better.

Good Luck!!!

Yes we are going to go to the meet and greet. Sorry about your experience  Have you tried calling his recruiter  He should have his info to. Just tell him that you haven't heard anything.

The info for the meet and greet is on this website. If you click on the the PIR meet and greets you can find ours.

Hope you get some of your info soon. Sorry

I just singed up for PIR May 03, 2013 Sarge's Meet and Greet at Sundance Saloon Waukegan 300 Lakehurst Road Waukegen Road. from 5:30 to 9:00PM.  I am so happy now!!!  I hope to see you there all!!  Take care until then and Good Luck!!!  Best wishes to you all!!!  Marika.

After weeks of "creeping" I finally joined :) My SR is in Div 175. Do any of you know if they are in "hell week" right now? I know their schedule is a bit off since they are a push division

I talked to my husband 2 Saturdays ago. He was on week 2 day 6. Sunday March 31 should have been week 3 day 0. I guess that means that today they would be week 4 day 1. My husband is on ship 14, div 175.

That makes sense, thank you! Have you gotten a call from him since 2 Saturdays ago? My SR hasn't gotten to make any since then. Hopefully they got time to write yesterday!

I have not hear from him since March 30. I did get some letters last week and i am hoping for some more letters tomorrow. Since our SRs are in a push division their schedules are a little different than other divisions. For me, im just glad to know what week my SR is on! :)
