Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisons 167 and 168.
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

I wonder what losing it entails...have also read some other place that some people were booted out, so to speak.
Don't know if that means they are sent home or just back to the end of the line.
hooray, I did receive a letter today, and it sounded just like somebody who is extremely busy w.t.a.o and studying for tests on the weekend eeked out the time to say hello to Mom and Dad.
less than 4 weeks now, and they'll be Sailors!
hi....April 8 Monday....assume our sailors are on their six week.....confirm that
No Dear, I believe Wednesday is the last day of trainig week 4 ( hell week). So next Thursday they"ll start week 5. Sat and Sun don't count, so again the folowing week will begin Thursday after that. Battle stations I understand are on week 6, day 5 , so it would be April 24th for this group accordingly.
Anybody who knows better, please correct me.
I think they start week 5 day 1 this Thurs. 4/11/13. However, these are "weeks in training" we are talking about. If your SR arrived 3/5 or there about, this is there 6th week at Great Lakes. The 1st week is just processing and the training days are only week days, weekends don't count as training days. So, they have been at the Recruit Training Command for 5 weeks and this would be their 6th week. Hope this makes sense.
thanks girls......
I received a letter today, it was quick, short and to the point. He sounded excited and is counting down as he said it seems time is going by faster. Like everyone else said they are super busy, Said they are doing marksmanship training with the pistol and he's loving it. Hoping to earn ribbons or medals from his uniform this week. Geezz if I only knew to do that to get him to keep a neat and clean appearance while he was growing up.lol Guess that boot training is working for my yungin' :) I'm so proud of him !
Hope everyone else gets a letter or call this weekend too. (3) more Thursdays.. Yay!!
So good to get the letters. My daughter seems to be doing well. getting our letters is definitely motivating, She wrote she loves us to the moon and back.Ready to get BC over with excited about graduation coming soon and loking good in the dress blues.
They are doing well with inspections and really well at drill. They will look mighty fine on May 3rd. Seems to be a great division, and can see a big improvement in his letter writing. Hoping for call they got a perfect on zone inspection so hopefully they have earned a call this weekend!
Hey Guys...I know I saw this earlier..but for the life of me can't find it. Did someone find out what the 167 flag is going to look like?...Or did I dream that?
April 11, going to Week Five ....any news with anyone
