Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 171 and 172.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Yep - nametag would be great.  I got an idea on pintrest that I bought stuff for today.  It is very simple but I think will look really sharp.

Has anyone from our group heard from their SR this week?

Hi CWeimar,

Hoping for one this weekend, got letters last Wednesday.

Thanks for the info, I will be checking my mailbox and keeping my phone close by.

Anyone hear that there is a bad stomach virus going around the ships?  As if the testing next week isn't going to be hard enough...

Hi Nannette6209,

My husband mentioned about that stomach virus in his letter last Wed and some sort of sore eyes...Praying, it won't get worst.

Does anyone knows when is their final PFA?

@CWeimar..my brother wrote in his letter last week that he was in the medical office for a while. it seems as though everyone is catching it, but he was fine in this weeks letter. I am not sure when the final PFAs are, but I have heard about BS.

Also, idk if anyone here has the RTC on facebook, but they posted pictures of recruits on the USS Hopper yesterday. My brother wasn't in any of the pictures :(, but maybe someone here may be more lucky!

Oh, thanks for the reply Aly marie.  My son isn't very good about writing and I appreciate the info.  Sounds as though there are a few bugs going around our group. I hope they are all feeling well and ready to work together for their last test.

I did see the pictures from the USS Hopper.  It was great to see a little of what they are learning.

Got a letter from my SR. Those in 171- he's friends with last initial T-from Tx, C-LA, L-SC and Mc-FL

Hello Ship3Div171, I was super excited to get a letter and a phone call from my SR yesterday.  He said as a group they are all working really hard and close to meeting a big goal.  He sounded really upbeat and excited for BS. Only one more week left! YIPEE!
