Hey ladies I have a really important question/request. My boyfriend is stationed in Port Loma, San Diego right now and I so badly want to see him. He just finished A school now he has about 3 months of Op training. Here is my question...is anyone living out there right now? Or know of a girlfriend or wife or family living there? I'm only 16 and my parents are going to let me go out to see him by myself if I can find someone who would keep tabs on me. They trust us and all...they have given us permission to get married and everything because I'm already in college and ready for that but I do have past medical problems and my mom is worried that if I got sick while he was in class, nobody would be there. I know this is a really weird request but its very very important to me. Please anything would be so so helpful!

First off this might sound harsh but I think you should not be looking for some type of "babysitter" on the internet. That is very dangerous, you don't know what kind of people are out there. As a Criminal Justice career oriented person, I can affirm that there are many sick human beings that can take advantage of you and your situation. This is a public site, just because most of us are true to being military wives, girlfriends, and moms. That does not mean that sickos can't ghost read anything that is put on here.

You are 16, if your parents will allow you to go then as you being their child they should be able to "keep taps" on you by themselves or trust that you will be okay on your own. Find a good friend or relative who would be willing to tag along with you  provided that you can pay their way for them. (Since they would be helping you out)

If all else fails then wait till he gets some leave time or you become of age. I can agree with why your parents want to support you but they are hesitant because you are still legally young and their responsibility. So if they won't allow you to go completely alone, trust their judgement and wait till you are of age.

It's tricky to still be so young (in a legal sense)

I'm not looking for a babysitter. I'm looking for a friend out there. Thats it. I'm an EMT and firefighter and I know all about the weirdos out in the world. All I'm looking for is someone else out there so I wouldn't be lonely while he's away doing stuff. Amanda replied and thats all I was asking for.

Your discussion's original text: " I'm only 16 and my parents are going to let me go out to see him by myself if I can find someone who would keep tabs on me."

So I apologize  for finding a wrong way to interpret that.

Good Luck! Be safe
