Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 187 and 188
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Happy pix/letters day (AKA Wednesday) everyone!!! Hopefully the RTC facebook page will put up some new random pictures. Also, wishing everyone letters, letters and more letters!
I have noticed some questions about phone calls. Cheryl, you said that your son indicated he might not be able to call again until after Battlestations. I just want to clarify that they really don't have much indication as to when they get phone calls. After Battlestations they get to make the "I'm a Sailor" call but that's about the only one that's a given. Phone calls can come at ANY time on ANY day. As Diannep indicated on the main page discussions, there is no rhymn and no reason to the calls! :)
Other than that, just working. Anyone have any questions or any updates, I'd love to hear them!! I'm working today but will check the discussion groups throughout the day. Hope everyone is doing well. The weather SUCKS here, capital S!!! Was so nice yesterday and then storms and a cold front moved through and now we'll be lucky to hit 50 the next three days! Come on Summer, where are you???

My SR said the same thing ship13/div 188 that he will make his last call and then the sailor call. So I guess we will have to wait and see;)
Hi Everyone...Just checking in to see if anyone has heard from their sailor this week. I have yet to talk to mine, but have received one letter. He has talked to his brother and sister, however...which I am glad about. How is everyone doing?
Hi Cheryl!
Last time I heard from my SR was last Wednesday. He sounded so good. Said your SR came up to him and told him we were friends on here. :)
That was the last time I heard from him. His little brother got a letter and so did my husband but I didn't get one. I understand though, I know they only have a certain amount of time.
I did find a great card for him today! It was one of those encouragement ones but very funny!
Hope everyone is having a great Tuesday!

I heard from my sailor today. I was so excited to see his letter in the mailbox. He sounded so positive and is doing well. He said the hardest thing about boot camp has been being sick. Other than that he said he is doing well, and passing his tests and inspections. He was excited to receive his dress uniform, and is even more excited about seeing all of us on graduation day. My birthday is Saturday and his letter was the best present I could ask for...:) I'm so relieved to know he is doing well.
Oh I'm so happy for you, Cheryl! Isn't it wonderful just to see their handwriting!!!
I've only received one letter from my SR but I carry it with me everywhere! :)
Happy Monday Everyone!!! Hoping and wishing for letters and maybe a phone call!

Hello, Ship 13! I hope everyone is well!
I am heading out to get my blue candle for when Battlestations happens! Hoping for a letter tomorrow! Maybe I should lite my blue candle in hopes of getting a letter too! It's been 3 weeks since I've received one. I just keep telling myself the boys are busy and it's only 10, almost 9, more days until I don't need a letter to feel connected to him. I will be able to see him with my own eyes! Oh those blue eyes! My how I love them!!
Okay, making myself tear up now. lol Just wanted to post and see how everyone was doing on Ship 13! Can't wait to see/meet you all!!!
