For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Can anyone help me? I need a slot for PIR.
Hello,
Here's the dilemma, I am going to graduation to support my future sailor even if I can't see the actual ceremony. I would really like to, but I couldn't take one of my SR's grandparents spots even if my SR wanted me to. As his parents and his grandparents are going.
I really do want to go and was wondering if anyone's SR had any extra slots?

Ladies you cannot share "spots", it is against the RTC rules. If you are not on your SRs list you cannot be on another even if they have an extra one open. Both SRs can get in trouble and it can come down to nobody on the list getting in to PIR. Your SRs can and probably will loose their liberty privileges PIR weekend too.

I was a sailor myself. Yes you can. It's not "sharing" it's just putting my name on his list. A recruit can put anyone he wants on his access list. For all RTC knows I'm a friend or a cousin. What you can't do is show up the day of and try to get on someone else's access list. They just don't have time for that.
So you would just give him my name to put on his list. Which I can message to you. I did the same thing for my shipmate, and we were told to do so by our RDCs for people who needed more than four people to go.

"It is the recruit’s decision whom to place on the access list. Please communicate with your recruit well before the final week of training to be sure the right names are on the list. The Public Affairs Office does not have a copy of the access list as they names on the list are not divulged to the public. No additions, deletions or changes will be made to the access list the week of graduation."
These are the RTC rules. As long as you are on an access list you see PIR.

Below is copied from RTC FB pageU.S. Navy Recruit Training Command : I am new to the navy family and this question seems to come up a lot. I know that the Policies are changing for PIR. My Question is this: If someone only has 2 people that can come to PIR can the SR invite 2 other people and put them on the list if it is another SR that is in his or her DIV and SHIP? Please clarify this as this seems to be the hot topic. Thank you very much for responding.
U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command Ma'am, while this is something that some recruits may have chosen to do, they are instructed not to do so. It is against RTC policy, and compromises safety procedures that we have put in place. If we are able to determine that guests do not belong to the recruit they are placed under, they will not be allowed access to PIR. Thank you for your understanding and continued support of the Navy's only boot camp! -
