Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 223 and 224
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Hi all ~ got a letter and a call. Best feeling...heard the same thing from my son, good food and tired.
Hi there, just got a call from our son, he knows Austin, they are 8 bunks away from each other.
Hi!! Havent had much time to respond but im so glad our boys know each other. 15 days and can't wait. Havent heard from Austin lately, no news is good news though they say. We are flying in to Milwaukee on 6-13 @ 12am.....Yikes!! Where are you flying into? Haven't booked our room yet, but flight and rental car are set. Do you guys have a room booked yet? Set up for the meet and greet also.
We are flying in Ohare' airport on the 13th around noon, staying at the Navy lodge and going to sarges meet & greet
Received a phone call from my SR this morning! I am soooo excited. Overall he is doing great. He's passed all his tests & got his wisdom teeth pulled. He said the food wasn't that great, but he comes from a family of generations of great cooks so probably a little hard to not be partial to homecooking! haha. I could hear a change in him and he talked about missing us and wanting to be home but knows that he's doing the right thing for him. I guess the RDC's are doing their job well. I feel like a weight has been lifted now that I've heard from him. So incredibly proud of my son & so proud of what these SR's are achieving. We are a blessed nation because of these men & women!
Howdie!! is there a list of hotels that ship 14 div 224 parents are staying? We are going to sarges meet & greet and PIR 6/14 and need a hotel suggestion.
Ship 14 Div 224 ,Just got a call from our son and he sounded great!!! He said they are doing well but some needed to work a little more on the teamwork part of it. He is excited to be there and he will be going to Florida with about 8 others in the division.
WOW!!!! It felt so good to hear from him!!!!!!
PROUD AS CAN BE!!!!!
Hi All, got a call from my SR tonight, he is in DIV 224. He has a heel fracture and is on crutches and was quarantined this weekend for bronchitis but he sounded fantastic. Isn't it amazing how when you haven't heard from your SR in weeks, how wonderful they sound even with bronchitis? He has a dr's appt Friday and has been told he won't PIR on the 14th with his division so we are on hold until after his appt. He is the MPO for his division and he loves it, guess that will pass to someone else if he has to go to RCU. So good to have the support of the the moms on here.
So glad to hear you girls are getting phone calls on Wednesday night. I got a letter today, it is so good to hear from him, as many of of you have mentioned, I am hearing a lot of changes in my son - growing up in a hurry. We are getting there - another few weeks. He said he was not getting his wisdom teeth out until he goes to A school.
