I was wondering if any other family members have SR's who arrived on this date. Also, I would love to know how to start planning a trip to graduation , which I was given est of July 5th (a very expensive week to attempt travel). I'm still just overwhelmed with how fast this happened and I miss my son very much. Please anyone with a son/daughter who left May 6th please add me as a friend as I do not know this site as well as others. Also, if you would just like to help me with all the terms and what a meet sarge is and where to stay I am crying my eyes out because I feel so uninformed. Also can you post pictures of your SR on this page and should I change my name? I need help. Thanks to anyone willing to respond. Also after I post things, how do I go find my original post without having to scroll down a whole list of things. I'm sorry to be a bother..

aww. please know that you are in good hands on this sight... I had been crying my eyes out too.  But slowly the tears go away (they come back every now and again for good measure I suppose).  Stay close to this sight for all of the info that you need.  And don't be afraid to ask as many questions as your heart desires.  Just as luvmy3brats says there are so many things to look forward to on your journey to PIR.  However take them one at a time - Although you may get your SR's address from his recruiter - I would hold of until your form letter arrives to send out any letters.  There is still a chance that his DIV or SHIP could change. The letter will have the most accurate info.  I'm no vet - I'm only two weeks in - but I have gained some really good info here.  You will too.... stay strong and know that your son is awesome thing :)

Ok so I got the box yesterday. I did not receive any information about his group division nor anything about graduation expected dates. How do I get this? I see some people who have already received these items and they left the same time as my son, May 7th. (He was supposed to deploy on the 6th, but something went wrong with the computer and he didn't leave until the next day. I did get a ton of papers which included his contract and medical exam records. I'm so confused....

Earl's Mom.... the box will come first... then the form letter with all of his info (including PIR and address) will arrive about a week (give or take a day) later.. from what I've seen, the papers are his copies so just keep them in a safe place.... Hang in there...
