Hi,

My son just arrived at boot camp yesterday. Is this the correct site where I may learn his PIR date in advance of the letter that I will receive.  I run my own business and any advanced notice I can get about when this might occur is helpful.  Any other mothers out there who's kids arrived yesterday?  Adjustment periods for all of us, no doubt!  Or if there are pages or a group for this date, let me know.

Hi and welcome.. if your son arrived yesterday, it is not yet known when his PIR (graduation) date will be... you will receive your box with his things in about a week, then about a week later you will get the form letter that will have his address and PIR date on it as well.. once the PIR and the DIV he's in is known a group will be created so that you can get with others in the same div and grade date.. Hang in there, we're all together in this..

Thanks!

Yes, my son just arrived there too yesterday. I'm still crying!!!!!! We are from Illinois, how about you guys?

Yes, it is hard.  I did well to hold my compose for Ryan but on my own, I'm a wreck.  A proud wreck, non the less!  Things for us will get better.  Have you found the facebook site where they post random photos from boot camp?  We should have an opportunity to see our sailors there if we are lucky.  We are from far northeast Iowa.

If I joined the correct one on Facebook, then yes. That be awesome if we could see pics of them. My name is Windy, definitely keep in touch. We can cry and pray together!!!!

Hi ladies... I'm only 3 weeks in ... but, I've been on this site since day one.  Believe me, I was a complete wreck and didn't know what I was gonna do from one minute to the next with out my son near me.  But, with the help of others here, I learned to cope because I see others going through the same things that I am.  You will learn a lot if you stick close to these discussions or groups.

Hi, my son arrived at boot camp on 5/14/13 also.  I'm waiting for the form letter like all of you are.  I hope that it arrives by the end of this week.  I'll let you know what his Ship and TG and other details when I get it.  At least we are all in the same boat.

The letter came today.  Ship 12 Div 258.  Any others rec'd letters today for the 7-12 PIR

For those of you with SR's in the 07/12/2013 TG, join the group, PIR 07/12/2013 TG 35 (clickable link), to connect with others with loved ones training with your SR.
