Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 814
Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).
sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.
Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.
We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there ladies!!!

Heep swimming!
I know it can be nerve wracking!
Your post is perfectly fine though!
It is still early for a personal letter. I am guessing that the first time this TG (Training Group) will be able to write will be this Sunday...though we do see the occasional Division write home early. The TG behind this one just started receiving their first letters.
Hang in there!
There should be some "veteran" SPECOP moms along to help you all out on this DISCUSSION soon!
I checked everyone's "My Page" that have posted on this Discussion and do not see any last names or such. Most of you have also changed your Profile settings so that your personal page is private (your username, URL, gender -which you can also hide if you wish- and location are still visible though and that is all I was able to check on those pages) and viewable to your "Friends" only. This good!
If you have not done this and would like to here is how:
How to change your Privacy Settings
You can make your Profile Page (My Page - third tab over at the very top under the N4M banner) viewable only to your friends. There are other privacy settings too.
Click "Settings". “Settings” is over to the far right underneath your username where you sign out of N4M's.
It will take you to your Profile page where you can change your picture, username, “about me” comments etc.
To the left on your Profile Page is a list.
Click Privacy. It will take you to your “Privacy Settings” Page.
Under “Visibility” (the very top of the list) the first item is:
My profile page and friends can be viewed by...
O Anyone
O Members
O Just My Friends
I would choose “Just my Friends” for Boot at least…you can go back and change this anytime…then go ahead, read through and change the rest your settings to how you would like them.
Here is how to change your Username, URL (web address) and picture (or add one if you like - though I do not recommend any of your recruit - some use a baby pic!):
How to change your username on here.
Go to "Settings" which is in the list in the far right hand column of this page...under where you sign out of N4M's.
Your profile page will open.
Under "Profile" …Username is the third item down.
Clear the info and type in your new username.
Once you do that make sure to click "Save" at the bottom right of the page.
How to change your URL:
First check your username in the address bar at the top of the screen.
Click “My Page” in the TABS at the top of the page just under the N4M’s Masthead.
Look up at the top left in the address bar.
At the end of the "http" when you pull your Profile page up your username is at the end of the address.
Go to "Settings" which is in the list in the far right hand column of this page...under where you sign out of N4M's.
Once your profile page comes up go to the left and you will see a list of options.
Click "My Page". The third item down is "Address”.
In the box clear the info and type in whatever you want to be at the end of your URL. Your new username is the best idea.
Again click "Save".
Let me know if you need help!
How to change/Add your Profile picture
First you have to have the picture you want to use downloaded onto your computer.
Next go to “Settings”. “Settings” is in the right hand column underneath where you sign out of Navy 4 Moms.
That will open up to “My Settings” page. Profile will be the page you are on.
Click “Browse”.
It should open up into your “Pictures” Library. If not, then click Pictures to open it.
Click on the picture you want to upload, it should load it to the “File” box.
Click “Open”. It will upload it to a box and ask you to select the “visible region of your photo”. Adjust it how you like it and then click “Save”. It will then save the picture to the small box.
Now you have to save the changes you have made. Scroll down to the far right of the Profile page and click “Save”.
Then you’ll get a message saying that “You have successfully saved your changes…go to “My Page”.
Do I need to change my url and what is it? I'm sorry I'm not that savvy on the computer. I went to my settings and saw that at the end of my "web" address was JudySS, should I change this to say Eaglemom2?
Well the hotel and flight arrangements have been made. Now bring on the graduation!!
