Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Amber, My son Sam said that the guy in the next rack is older and married and said his wife knows Sam's mom on this site. Could it be? Sam said they are getting to be friends. So who knows? He knew that I was CotwinsSalorsMom. I just noticed I have a typo in my name on here, oh well. Got a call and This afternoon. Could have been Sam who called you.

It appears my other txt did not post...Got a call from Banana Boy!!! Steve's twin, Sam. He passed a test so gets two calls this week. He had his mole removed and finds out tomorrow is it is + for melanoma. Please pray. They did say that if it is + he will have surgery and have some down time and PIR will possibly be delayed. At least they did not say he would be going home!!!

I'm so happy for everyone who got to talk to their SR tonight. My Jake called, and I was completely surprised. He did warn me however, that this was the last phone call they were getting for awhile. I'm really not sure why, but apparently there is a period during training they can't call home?? He is still coughing a lot, but I think he is doing better mentally. He says he has a great division. While I was thrilled to hear his voice, my heart is heavy knowing it will be awhile before I can talk to him again. In his last letter to me, he said "it really sucks when they pass out letters every night and you don't get one." So, I am definitely going to make it a priority to send him at least a note each day. Have a wonderful evening ladies!

Hi Betsy.... My son said the same thing, has a little cold that he is fighting and that it bums him out if he doesn't get mail every day. I promised him I would send letters everyday now, especially since they won't be calling home as often now. I was sending 3-4 letters a wk including cards, guess that's not enough. Ha.

I know Kim!! I feel bad about not writing enough. Lesson learned :) Today, I tore out the June 21st page of one of those calendars that has a page for each day and stuck it in a card. Just wanted him to have a reminder that their big day is coming soon!!

Betsy- what a great idea that is with the calendar. I will also do that! :) he seemed a bit down today, which I'm sure missing home is setting now, which keeps me even more motivated to write every day from here on out.

I'm not sure but when Sam called me he mentioned the guy in the rack next to him is 31 and married and that his wife knew me as my CoTwinMom name. He said how Sam really likes him,
Got a call from Sam's twin, who got his orders today, he did not get Italy :( he is on a destroyer, not so happy with the base. -

The 31 years of age says it all..lol...my husband told me in an earlier phone call that he is the old guy...hahahaha..there are only two others beside him that are up there in age a 29 year old and a 34 year old..so I am saying yes it's him....(: what a great way to connect.

Good morning ladies... I was wondering if any of you will be heading to the Sarge's meet and greet on June 20th? Does anyone know if we can bring kids to this to, I will have a 13 yr old and a 10 yr old with me that are siblings to my SR.
