Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 243 and 244

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

So I made the executive decision to visit my friend who lives about ten minutes away from Bootcamp over the Memorial Day weekend. I heard they frown upon weeping mothers who stand outside so I shall just drive by it and be happy he is safe.

Kitten says Hello

Finally received mail!  Three short notes to me, 2 to her mom, and 1 to Great-Gramma.  They were all mailed on 5/20, but were dated 5/11, 13 & 15.  She describes everyone in Div 244 as "kool" and says marching is fun.  Likes the food, but misses mom's cooking.  We still have not received the "form letter".  Has anyone else not received it???  So happy to hear that Poochie is going to be OK.

got my first short letter today from my bf in div 243.

my bf said the girls are having a little hard time coming together as a team, but I think it's still a little early.

wishing them well and hoping they will finally get it.

"keep your mouth shut, your eyes and ears open and all will be well.

So very very proud of my SR.

Hi darsatm--my son is div 243--I'll send you a friend request so we can email to see if they know each other yet!

Glad you got a letter, yay for letters!

I hope you're right about the females and they will get it together, since my SR is one of them.  Geez.  Did he say what the problem was?  Women.  LOL

Very proud of all the SR's and "no news is good news".

Hi Cindyloohoo..... how do I friend request you so I can email you?

Has everyone received the "form letter"?  We are still waiting.

My SR is in Div 244.  Do any of you have a young lady SR in 243 or 244?

Got a call this afternoon from our SR, Div 244.  She is my only grandchild and it was absolutely wonderful to hear her voice.  She says the food is fantastic.  Said she probably won't be able to call again for a while, but hopefully we will hear from her soon with good news about her progress toward passing the PFT.

Happy to hear that others also received calls.

Need some help, please.  Found out from my Div 244 SR yesterday that she placed the form letter in the incorrect box, it's still in the box, and no one has a key.  I told her to explain this to someone in charge and to find out if she can send another form letter.  Does anyone know if a replacement form letter is a possibility?  If not, how can we get the password to print the parking pass for PIR?

Happy Memorial Day Mom's!  The joy I have in my heart to know that my SR is beginning on this amazing journey makes my heart swell with pride.

On a poopy side, I missed my phone call AGAIN yesterday!!  Boo!!!  My SR (03/244) told her dad when she last called that they would only be making calls on Saturdays so of course I stayed in the house all day Saturday and missed the call Sunday...heartbroken!  She thought her next call might be June 7th a Friday, any other Mom's hear that info?

Kaleigh's Gramma, I'm not sure this is the place to give that info (security gate and parking pass codes) but i'm sure if you call the RTC and speak to someone, they can help!

I would love to share her responsibilities and volunteer stuff but do you think that will make her a target of her Superiors?

I'm sooo sorry you missed another call.  Hopefully she will catch you next time.

My SR told me what she thought the password is and she's going to ask about sending another letter.  I totally agree with you...this is not the place to share that info and it is her responsibility to get the info for us.
