While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

My son reported to RTC on May 15. Does anyone else have a son/daughter that reported the same day? Have you gotten the Box yet?

Hi! My husband went out the same day. I have not received the box yet but I know it takes about a week or so before receiving it. I have not even received the form either. Don't worry though. It will all come in due time :) Give it another week. :)

My daughter reported on the 13th and I just received the box Friday...I'm desperately waiting for the form letter though. :) We miss her terribly!!

I'm sorry I put the wrong report date in my subject. He left us on May 13 and went to his recruiter to check in. Then he left and reported at RTC on May 14 and called our other son late that night. My husband and I were traveling late on May 14 so we didn't get to talk to him. He is sending the box to our oldest son. He didn't have it when we last talked to him. He should have it now so I'm going to call him. We travel back to our oldest son's home on Thurs and hopefully we'll get the form letter by Friday. This first week has been hard not being able to talk to our Navy son. But our older son said he was ok when he called. My husband was a career Army officer and remembers his days in bootcamp and being away from home. We are learning the Navy differences and ways. There is a lot of information available on the groups and forums on N4M's. I'm so glad I found it. I'm anxious to find out when his PIR is so we can plan. I'll let you know when we get the letter. I'll also post his TG and Ship and whatever else is in the letter. Thanks for being with me.

Still no box or letter yet! I am sooo anxious to receive them! I have a feeling his PIR will be July 12th, but knowing the date for sure will be nice to know. Plus, once I have a date, I can begin the countdown, which is much better than this limbo I'm in now. (end vent) :)

YAY! I got the box today! My apartment office had it - they are so bad at letting the residents know if a package has arrived. One down, one to go! How does the form letter arrive? FedEx or USPS?

We got the form letter yesterday. My son is in Ship 12 Div 258 with PIR on 7/12/13. I have joined the PIR group for 7/12/13. If your SR is in the same ship and in Div 257 or 258 let me know on this group and join the PIR and let me know.
