Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 814

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

I believe it is 50 miles. Navy Pier is within this. Its a popular spot for PIR weekend. We ate at Harry Caray's restaurant. Not sure who he is, but there were lots of celebrity pics on the walls and they have a very large cheeseburger. My son ate that at record speed. BTW ladies, you will be amazed how fast your son's eat. Also there is a Bubba Gumps restaurant and few other taverns. We had to park in the city and walk, but the park there is quite interesting. Lots to see.

Keep track of time if your son has to be back at certain time. Traffic is a mess and the train gets filled quickly. You can catch the train into Chicago close to base.

Got a phone call from my son! It was so nice to hear from him and he sounds good!
awesome!!!!

Got a phone call today too.  Miss him terribly.  Even all those towels I had to wash.  LOL

awesome!!  I'm still cleaning his room!  putting some stuff in storage for him later.  Turning his room into extra bedroom for whom ever comes to visit.

I missed my sons call on Sat. I was so sad. we were eating in a noisy mall restaurant and didnt hear it ring!

I cant change his room yet... but it is sure good to have less laundry!! :-)

On Thursday before PIR, there is a Meet and Greet that Sarge puts on at the Sundance Saloon. If you plan to attend, Please RSVP to Sarge. We are making name badges so if you don't RSVP and you show up, we won't have a badge for you. Please include the names of those you are bringing as well so we can make badges for them as well.

Also, there will be a raffle where NAVY cups, shirts and other items will be given away with the main prize being 25% of the raffle money. 50% will be donated to Sarge for future meet and greets and 25% will be donated to Calls for Recruits. Also, there is a discussion group above for those who want to donate State Baskets to the silent auction.

Sarge puts his own money into these weekly meet and greets and to ensure future mom's being able to have this same awesome opportunity, please donate a State basket or participate in the raffle. Every dollar counts!

Hi,
I just got a call and missed it. :( he said he won't be able to call again for a few weeks! I hope everything is ok. He said he was doing good in his message. But now I'm worried
Hi Momma KK, I got a call also from my son, he said they are going into hell week which is why they can't call. It was nice that they had a chance to call during the week, my son sounded like himself (which was comforting), and even joked with me that he found out there is a right way to make a bed...I've been telling him that for years. Hope all the moms are doing well.
Thank you so much, that is very reassuring :)

Anyone else from this division get a call last night? My son called last night around 6:00PM and said that his division was making their calls. He got to talk for quire a while. He sounded really good and said thing were going well.

Yes I got a call last night as well.  Same thing as you...we got to talk for a pretty long time.  Was so nice to hear his voice and he sounded good too!
