Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 223 and 224

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Has anyone heard from their SR this week, ship 14 Div 224?

Ship 14 Div 223 - nada

Hi Shewolf my son is in Div 224 ahvent heard from him for two weeks =(

Hi Milli, I just got 2 letters from our SR and he sounds like he is doing great. It has been 2 weeks since we received a phone call, but the letters always make me cry,we are so proud of him.

Hello shewolf123 have you heard from your son? I received a letter last week but still no call.

Hi there, No phone calls for 3 weeks but we get letters every thursday. Can't wait til PIR.

We are staying at the Navy Lodge and going to Sarges meet and greet.

Hi am sorry to say this but am happy no calls for you either its kinda of a relief for me. Haven't decided which one to do but was thinking about Flanagans. Can't wait til PIR either.

SHIP 14 DIV 223......nothing from my SR :(  Last time I spoke to him though, he did say that it would be a long time before he would call again. Not sure what "a long time" means.  He also said the next 2 weeks were going to be hell weeks. Not sure what the weeks were labled prior to this! haha!  This week ends week 1 of the 2.  I haven't received any letters this week either.  Hoping to get one today!

My SR is in Div 223 as well. I haven't heard from him in a little over 2 weeks.  I know he is going through a very active two weeks so I'm hanging tight.  When I do get to hear from him whether through mail or telephone he sounds great!  Each phone call his enthusiasm for being in the Navy is higher and higher.  He particularly likes the food. :)

Thank goodness for this communication, I did not get a letter or a phone call this week; it is reassuring (in a strange way!) to know that no one else has.  I guess they are VERY busy.  At least they have made it to the half way point.  I am so nervous about going to Chicago - it will be lot of driving from the airport to the base. Prayers for our SR's & for all of their families.

Ordered my SR Ship # 14 coins today. Hope he likes it

Worriedworkmom....I ordered the coin for USS Arizona & the RTC coin.  I received them a couple of weeks ago.  I love them.  Hoping my recruit will like them too!
