Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 814

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

Yes, got a call too and a letter today.  Sounded good.  Was great to hear his voice and he was able to talk to his younger brother.

Heard from my son yesterday.  He seems to be having a hard time of it.  I thought it might be to soon for him to go to bootcamp after the death of his father, my husband last November.  He insisted that he needed to go.  I can't wait until he is finished with bootcamp. His A school might be better for him.  Well, I hope all your kids are doing well.  I just wanted to let other moms know that if there kids are having a hard time they are not alone.

Hello guitarmom, I just wanted to say I am sorry for your loss and will be praying for you and your son too.

I am so sorry for you loss and I will continue praying for our SR's and our families.

Is he doing better???

Hi Moms,

I received a call as well last night! :-) I was with my daughter so it was nice for her to talk with him as well. He sounded good. The 814 div is getting a couple of harder training days with the RDC's from GL....I believe he said, from across the street. so I think its the DivePrep RDC's that are bumping up the training a notch to keep them in good shape. they havent done the gas chamber yet nor firearm training. he has done well on his tests swimming and running. He repeated what they all say...."keep those letters coming!"

He wants to visit the Navy pier and the aquarium. He misses the ocean! :-)

All of you are in my prayers too. Our friends will listen but its so different talking to Moms who are experiencing or are experienced in this process!

I heard one of my sons fav artists Zach Brown...the song "Chicken Fried" this morning. I was singing at the top of my lungs smiling when all of a sudden the tears flowed. There is a verse about thanking God for the stars and stripes..and thats what hit me! I am so proud of him but miss him dearly!

I am looking forward to meeting you all at Sarges!
does anybody know what RPOC means to a division?

My son mentioned that term in his letter too, what does it mean?

From what I have read, it is like a promotion within Boot Camp. Spec Op contracts start out as an E-2, RPOC bumps them up to E-3 before the others. Its a leadership position within each division that is based on test scores, times, and staying out of trouble.

It means "top dog"! Way to go....it means alot....in charge!

My son also mentioned that term in his letter.  SWSL

PIR 6/28/13

hmm Waynesmom, I do not know that one. Its close to SWCC. which is part of Spec Ops.
