For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Yes it does me too, however, if we all send letters this week encouraging them to work as a team then maybe they will be like the bad news bears movie and pull through like champs. I have confidence in them. I believe God will pull them through.

OK ladies, I want you to know that sometimes the RDCs say things that aren't necessarily the way they are. They say things to put some fire under the SRs butt sometimes.
It is very common and hits every PIR group, if not every division where they can't seem to "get their act together." There are always a few that just don't get it, and have a hard time "following the rules". Trust me they will get it and on time. :)
After BS my sons division and brother divisions had a "pizza party", one that wasn't just the RDCs ordering pizza and eating it in front of them while they did IT. LOL The RDCs asked if there was anything anyone wanted to say about their BC experience, no-holds barred. My son, well being my son and 26, stood up and said (BEWARE INCOMING SAILOR SPEAK)
I just want to know what the f*** you all had to talk about these past eight weeks. We sleep together, shower together, shave together and even s*** together. We eat the same things, wear the same f***** clothes, are told when to put them on and when to take them off, when to wash them, how to fold them, and where and how they are stowed. We see the same things because we, march together, walk together, go to the same d*** buildings. We are told when to talk, when not to talk, who to talk to, who not to talk to and how to talk to all of them. We are told, what to do, who to do it with, when to do it, where to do it, how to do it, and why we do it. What the h***? Just glad we got our s*** together, now lets party.
One of the RDCs said to him later, "G****(last name) you said barely a word since you got here and tonight you pop off?", then walked away laughing. He also wrote a note on the group picture of the division. "G****(last name), I didn't even know you were here. LOL"
That being said, keep up the encouragement and know that it probably isn't the case, besides they are in BC and have made it this far, they can't be that bad. :)

ellen0505...that was GREAT!! I send a letter every day to my son. Sometimes just a few copies of a newspaper so he can understand what is going on in the world. I do hope this division is doing good and they iron out whatever "wrinkles" they do have. ..keeping them in my thoughts and prayers....

So the letter I received on Thursday from my daughter did state that she is in a performance division and she was performing today at a graduation. Also to perform next Friday as long as everything goes well for her. She is in a flag division, but she carries a rifle because she is in the color guard. She says they just went through Hell week so I'm glad that is over. They had their 2nd. test last Monday. Also the Gas Chamber was this last week as well as their 2nd. peanut butter shot. Keep them in your prayers that Teamwork is their main focus.

I saw a single picture of my SR from Friday's PIR. She was playing cymbals. And, another Mom actually took video. This has totally made my day.

Where do I go to see these pictures or where did you go? My daughter is carrying a rifle in the last graduation.
