Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 245 and 246

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

When I got my call last Wednesday it was actually at 930pm! (I'm an hour ahead, so it was 830pm his time. So keep your phones on tonight if you haven't heard anything. Crossing my fingers!

On Thursday before PIR, there is a Meet and Greet that Sarge puts on at the Sundance Saloon. If you plan to attend, Please RSVP to Sarge. We are making name badges so if you don't RSVP and you show up, we won't have a badge for you. Please include the names of those you are bringing as well so we can make badges for them as well.

Also, there will be a raffle where NAVY cups, shirts and other items will be given away with the main prize being 25% of the raffle money. 50% will be donated to Sarge for future meet and greets and 25% will be donated to Calls for Recruits. Also, there is a discussion group above for those who want to donate State Baskets to the silent auction.

Sarge puts his own money into these weekly meet and greets and to ensure future mom's being able to have this same awesome opportunity, please donate a State basket or participate in the raffle. Every dollar counts!

keep your phones close ship 9 div 245 - said they should get another call on sunday too!

Received a short call from my SR,  he said things are going great.  Did not talk long he wanted to call his grandmother and another SR still needed to use the phone.  Happy Day !!!!! :-)

Ship 9 Div 245

My mail came a day late too! They are only able to "send it out" on Sundays (which just means gather it b/c there's never mail on sundays) and Monday was the holiday so none of the mail even left til Tuesday. I feel really bad for the couple people from like Cali who would've gotten their stuff on sat and will now have to wait til monday. Keep your chin up! At least by the time you get something, it'll already be closer than normal til the next time you'll get stuff. :)

Feeling a little down the last couple of days - missing my SR.  I got a call Weds but it was short and not much was said.  My SR isn't one for giving any details about anything and of course, this momma needs details.  lol On the call he said letters were on the way but I did not get one yet this week and his gf did but she said it didn't say much --really? ?? !!
I don't want anyone to share anything that could get our loved ones in trouble but I'd love to know what your SR's are sharing with you.   You can private message me too.  Only thing I do know is he is making good friends with a SR from FL

Shirleyann, I can help you with the basket for MO - we can do it together.  I am driving so I can take it if you can send it to me.

Ship 09 / div 245

rws9d245- My SR is in 245, also. I received less mail this time than last time from my husband, so I think they're just really busy. In one he said that he just got done working 20 hours (i'm guessing it wasn't an exaggeration, but who knows). And they've been studying non-stop for tests and such. I've heard they did a 15 minute sprint, but don't worry, they've been working them up to the 15 minutes. I'm trying to think of what else... My SR sounded really happy with the friends he was making too, so I think they're starting to find their support systems within. And don't feel bad about the girlfriend thing. I know you miss him so much and I'm sure you miss him too. But you're his mom. And I don't mean that in a bad way, I just mean that he knows you will always love him no matter what. Girlfriends tend to get a little antsy when they aren't getting mail, let alone not getting attention. lol You're his momma and no one can replace you and you're going to love each other whether he decided to go to sleep instead of write you or not. Keep sending as much as you can. My husbands spirits were a little low about a week ago and said the letters and cards I was sending helped him push through. Plus, the more you send, the more obvious it is that he needs to fork out a letter to you soon. lol but really, keep your chin up! Private message me if you'd like! I like having info, too, so I've been pulling what I can out of my husband lol

Thanks j's wife! Good thing is we are half way there! I jokes with my son in a letter it's funny how he can make me crazy when he's home yet I miss him a lot.

rws9d245- Yes, thank goodness we're halfway! lol Our daughter is very excited that it is actually the month we'll see him now. And I just read your reply to me on the other page that your son is a flag carrier, too! Small world! That means they must stand somewhat close together! :)

I didn't get any letters today. :/ hopefully tomorrow? Wednesday let me down! Lol :(

I can't believe it took me this long to find this site! Finally did a Google search for Daniel's ship/division and here we are! SO glad to have found a forum where people understand and are so closely connected to those who are with my SR. :) Love you guys already!

Just returned home from vacation.  Was so happy to have a letter from my SR.  He sound good, just waiting for PIR.
