Hi ladies!
My husband will graduate school in september, my question is when moving is there anyone to contact about finding places were we will be stationed? for example, one of the possible places may be WA.. would i need to contact someone with housing over there? so sorry if this sounds confusing but any help, or tips on who to contact would help so much, as this is our FIRST move :)
thanks a million!

He should know where he will be stationed closer to him graduating. I would honestly wait until you know for sure. it can always changed last minute. and there are 4 bases here in Washington that I can think of off the top of my head. so unless you know exactly what base he could be at, its a lot of work :) a lot of housing areas will not help you unless you have official orders. but some may be more nice and get you some info :) are you guys looking to stay in base housing or off base housing?
Were hopefully shooting for navy houseing, but we know sometimes the wait can be so long! if not then we will plan other wise.. :)
yeah sometimes there is a wait, but just depends on the area. My husband and I decided to live off base housing. :) I like it b/c the extra money, but it would be nice if I was closer to the other wives I meet up with :) as far as I know, Washington bases do not have a wait and the base we are on have so many open houses they are talking about letting civi's live in them that work on base lol
lol oh no way?! i didnt think they could do that, i always thought that military housing was only for military personal! but hey! they must do what they must do right? were do u live as of now? and thanks for letting me know that! ive also heard that some ppl like living off base for that exact reason! saving money, and with a two year old, extra money is ALWAYS nice
yeah its a big debate and people are really mad about it. but not all of the housing up here is "on base" its off of base but considered base housing :P yeah if you find a good place big enough for good money why not right? but with base housing you don't have to pay for utilities. to its something you have to weigh the pros and cons. we are stationed n Whidbey island. its an air station. what is your husbands job going to be?
