It's just airfares are really cheap bow and I can always reschedule on SWest without penalty. So help on figuring out the date please!

By counting 9 Fridays, 09/20/2013 is the most likely PIR date, but since he will be arriving on a Tuesday, he could end up in a Push Division and fill a division from the TG from the week before and have PIR on 09/13/2013. He could also have PIR the week after, but that is less likely for one arriving at the beginning of the week. You will have to wait on the form letter, which will arrive about 10 days after he arrives at the RTC, to know when his PIR is for sure. (See Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones).)

You may want to join DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in July. You will meet others with loved ones leaving that day/week who may be in the same TG and have PIR together. Be sure to check out the discussion, Things to Do in the Last Month Before Your Future Sailor Leaves for the RTC. I also suggest you join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and New Members Stop Here and check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) and Discussions there.

Your future Sailor may want to join http://www.navydep.com to learn the ins and outs from the DEP point of view. Craig runs that and will steer him to some good links on there.

Wow thank you! I had no idea all this existed. Greatly appreciate you help.

You are very welcome.

My daughter leaves July 22nd...I wonder if they will graduate together:)

Good luck:)

Her birthday is Sept 20th I kinda hope its that day so we can be with her:)

I think my son actually leaves on the 22nd. He is a recruit
from Phoenix, Az. We live in Oregon so will not even be there
to say goodbye.

If his ship date is 07/23/2013 then he will go to the hotel the 22nd and to MEPS and on to the RTC on the 23rd.
