Hi Momlpn.. my son is leaving joplin mo august 13th and is going to be a part of the cardinal company as well on the 15th. where is your son leaving from. are you going to the game? i am anxious, scared, worried, but oh so proud of mine. im not looking forward to telling him bye that day. The closer it gets my heart wants to break. i know it is a very good thing for him and im trying not to show my true emotions in frontt of him i don't want him worrying about me. im trying to spend as much time with him as i can. we are leaving Thursday for our annual lake trip for our family reunion... another thing that may be his last for a few years and it is tearing me up inside. he turns 18 July 7th and then a month later he's gone. i was born and raised in the same town and have never left. we have raised our 3 boys here. all my family is in this town my son is my first born and the realization that he is actually leaving in a little over 60 days is really starting to sink in. I've been trying to read about what hrs will go through and learn more about the navy to help me cope. i just home im not a basket case some august!!

what is the cardinal company?

Hello, my daughter leaves August 19.....as proud and happy as I am, my emotions are starting to run haywire!! She has been on her own for a year now but wherever she is I have always been within driving distance from her. Will be a big change for both of us!! Been scoping out the website for as much info as I can gather to prepare us both and to inform the rest of our family. Anyway....I will definitely be a Proud Navy Mom!!!
My son leaves from Waco , TX on August 13 for San Antonio - then off to BC on the 14th! He is so ready! Dad was in the Navy so has had a lot of "pep talks"! Looking forward to watching him grow as a sailor!
Hi Ladies,
Just a reminder to check out the updated "Things to do the month before your sailor leaves" page. Hope everyone is doing great and making the most of their sumers!

Hi everyone! I have two boys and their friend leaving in August.  One son and the friend 8/6 and the other son 8/13.  The one leaving later is trying to get his date changed to the go at the same time, but we will see.  They are coming from Texas and this will be their first time away from home, all three graduated from high school 6/1. Hoping they do change the leave date so  they all leave at the same time and hopefully PIR together so we can make it to see them all.

I am trying to stay busy and not think about it too much, but have my "moments" as my husband calls it. Can't seem to find a way to slow down the calander!!

wow doulble cant imagine 2 at once, hope you get it worked out to go togehter

My son leaves August 13th!
