I am having mix feelings about him leaving..... I am very excited and proud of the choice he made, but I feel like I am losing my best friend.  I have been a single mom for the past 19 years, he has been there thru thick and thin, so a piece of me is going to be missing without him.  We have a party schedule for him on the 15th to wish him well at boot camp and so let him know we all support him.  I am trying to hold back any emotions, I want him to know I will be ok and I am ok and pround of him.  So far I am ok, he hasnt seem me cry but I am afraid I am not going to be able to hold back much longer.  Am I crazy to hold back my feelings?  I dont want him to know and him to change his mind......

Hopefully you will get it today!  I am just now, after a week, washing the MOUND of laundry he left in his bedroom along with the stinky stuff in the "kid in a box"!  Somehow, it makes me feel better...like I am taking care of him.  Even though, I know he does not want/need me to take care of him.  I do have a stack of letters written sitting here on my desk just waiting for an address.  I have numbered them on the back, so he will have an idea of what order to open them!  I thought about calling the recruiter to see if he had an address, but decided to just wait for my Navy form letter.

Hey June 17th moms....I got my form letter today!  Yeah!!!  I guess I am on to join the next group with you guys.  I hope you get yours today as well.  It was the greatest feeling and made me cry.  Now to address and send all of these letters that I have piled up.  :)

Since you got the form letter; is the PIR date 08/16/2013? As soon as you confirm we can let FTLW and ellen know to set up the PIR group for youi.

Yes, lemonelephant.  Thanks so much!

I'll let them know.

Watch for the group to be posted and join. It should be up later tonight as PIR 08/16/2013 TG 40.

Thanks for all you do around here, lemonelephant.  This site has been invaluable.  I will watch for it and get it rolling once it is up!

It's up now (bare bones), so click on the link and join any time.

I can't wait!  I know another June 17th who got the form letter two days ago and a PIR date of Aug. 9th.  I have not received mine yet, and they left together.  I hope mine comes today :)

tylersmom, Please remove your comment and repost if you like without the last sentence since it contains your full name. If you want to share personal information or your facebook identity, please do so in a PM after friending the person. The Community Guidelines of this site indicate not to share last names. See of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes To Your Profile)  for more on that and there may be other changes at the bottom that you will want to make.
