Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 936

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I have a countdown going as well. I'm a teacher, so I am off for the summer. I'm not sure that is a good thing since I have more free time on my hands to worry.

I have been praying for all of 936 to be/stay/get healthy. I got the letter one day saying mine had pneumonia and the next day I got one saying she had been SIQ for 3 days and light duty for one, but had recovered. They had the same postmark and no dates on the actual letters.

HB:

Totally know what  you mean about the free time. I am a home health nurse and I have volunteer for a lot of over time just to help the time pass. One of my friends said "its that close to TR graduating, He just left" I was like are you crazy hit feels like he left 10 years ago. LOL

I hope our SR's are feeling better this week! Our son said he had cold symtoms the first three weeks, but we haven't heard from him since Father's Day. Pneumonia is scary for sure.

I am thinking we need to watch the live feed of the PIR on July 3rd (I think it's early in the week because of the fourth of july holiday.) Our son said they perform at two PIR plus their own. So if that is true, we may see them on the live feed or in photos or the PIR on the 3rd and/or possibly on the 11th.

I am sure everyone would love to get another glimpse of their SR.

I just got a 13 page letter!  It sounds like 936 is struggling a bit to learn to work together.

She did not mention a lot of people being sick still, but she did say that she had her wison teeth out and was SIQ for 2 days.

She mentioned several SRs by name...one who plays clarinet and is helping her with running (not her strength), her bunkmate, one who plays piccolo in the band with her and a couple of others.

She sounds positive, but did admit to being homesick. She also said that as much as she loves the color blue, she is missing other colors...LOL.

Her only request when we come to PIR was to bring her a new book to read on the plane headed to A school.

So glad I heard from her, and hoping everyone else hears from their SRs, as well!

HB:

You got 13 pages and I got 13 lines. Mine said the same things that they are some issue regarding "playing well with others". Which is not good as that is a HUGE thing with the Navy. I just hope they pulled together for their battle station week an such. Mine hates running too. Hopefully they well get what they meant to get out of the program. hat they cant fight the fight without their shipmate.

The running requirement has been one of my biggest concerns, I will be SO happy and relieved when she tells me that she passed her PFA. She did specifically name another SR who is "helping her with her running". I know that she is giving it her all.

She did suggest finding a "fun 5K" to run together after she gets to A school, and then laughed at herself for actually suggesting that, since she has always resisted running with us before. I am taking that as a good sign.
:-)

Has anyone gotten a call since Father's Day???  I am worried.

No call here either. But it a bad week for them and the divisonitself seems to be struggling a little. If I am not mistaken the next call we receive is the " I am a Sailor" call, where they have passed and they get their official navy hat. I worry too plus I just want to hear my baby voice. I have only gotten one call and I am going nuts. But try not to worry they are just trying to finish up. 16 days!!!

I hope they are all ok.  I can't wait to see him.  I miss that kid!  He always made me laugh.  My older son is a stepson and never lived with us just came on visits so my SR is my basically my only one.  Sometimes I would give anything to pick up wet towels off his bedroom floor!  I am going to have my hubby check out the live stream tomorrow to see if he sees him performing at this graduation.  I read somewhere that they perform at their graduation and the 2 before.  I am hoping so - I can't watch I work at one of those places!  My hubby works at his family business so he will have no issue watching.

I know what you mean. My SR always came in my rm every night kissed me on top of my head and said " night momma". Needless to say I have not been sleeping well and everyone keeps asking me why. Cause I don't get my good night kiss anymore. This week to make it worse my 17 yo went to the beach with his friend for a week and my 9yo went to spend some time at my momma house. OMJ am I lonely. I forgot they were going and went and went and got grocery, had to carry them in by myself and put them away and then didn't have anyone to say what's for dinner, But I couldn't be proud of any of the three.,

I got to see mine today!!! He was in the band around 1:12 on the video.  Everyone in my family who could  tuned in.  I snipped some pics.  Wooo HOOOO.

ME to mine was the one playing the trumpet that they kept zoomed in on. He look so skinny. We picked him out when they were marching in cause he has always played his trumpet up high and arched his back. I hope everyone else got to see their SR some.
