Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 291 and 292

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My boyfriend is in 292. We have talked twice; last Saturday the 29th and Saturday the 22nd. I've only received 1 letter from him. I think they recieve letters Monday through Friday and send them on Sunday. I didn't receive it til that following Thursday. In the letter he wrote, "Hopefully you get this by Wednesday! Don't forget to check the mail!!" Lol. He mentioned their division is doing well though :)

We got a call on Saturday. He said they would get to write letters on Sunday.

My son is in Div 191, he is also going to Charleston, SC for Nuke school.

We got a call Sat too. Hoping for a letter this week.
My son is in ship 9 div 292, we got a call Saturday! No real letters yet! Hoping to get one soon.

Super Cute Bunny Waving

Letter came today! Both sets of grandparents got one too. They were written different days but all post marked the 25th.

My son Ship 09 Division 292 called me this morning, he needed some information mailed to him at BC. He said they were moving to Ship 11. His recruiter said that other than the ship number changing the address will stay the same. I just got his Challenge Coin for the JFK!!!!!

We are staying at the Navy Lodge as well

My son ship 11 div 292 going to Pensacola for  A School for.

AS - Aviation Support Equipment Technician

We are from Cincinnati Ohio. Are you on Facebook?

Anyone going to Sarge meet and greet

I kept the JFK Challenge Coin because he did have his first challenge  at JFK ship 09

I got him Challenge Coin for ship 11 also

I've read a couple different posts about Ship 09 Div 291/292 moving ships?

Anyone know why this would be happening? Will our SR  address change?

Also if we order challenge coins I guess we need to change that?

If they are moving (which it seems they are) it is probably because of maintenance and remodeling on their current ship, and it is not unusual. Yes, the address will change, but any mail to the old address will be forwarded.

Are both 291 and 292 moving?  My SR is in 291 and did not mention it on his call Saturday.  I've only seen posts about 292, but was wondering if that 291 was going as well.  We didn't send stamps to our SR and chose instead to tell him to focus on studying, ironing, etc.  Here's hoping they'll forward all his letters if he's moving over to ship 11.  Not sure if/when we will hear from him again.
