Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 273 and 274

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Heads up Ship 14, Div 274 my son called home today about an hour ago. I was not home from work yet but his brother got to talk to him!!

Hi moms of 273 and 274! I received two letters today from my SR. In one of her letters she said that her division is being moved to a new ship (Ship 11) on July 4th!! She said she would let me know closer to the time when to change her address. Why would they do that?? She also told me all about her "job" that she has been assigned or volunteered for. I'm not sure- anyways she seems to like it because she said it gives her time away from all the others for awhile. She is going around to all those standing watch and collecting temperatures- at least that's what I got from the letters along with some cleaning duties of the hallways. Oh well, at least she seems happy! She said her division is really starting to work together, that they all sat down and talked about how they could work together as a team.

That is weird that they are moving them to a new ship. I wonder why? I haven't gotten a letter yet this week but I have been getting them on Thursdays so hopefully tomorrow. It is really good to hear that the division is coming together. I know that was one of my daughter's biggest complaints.

I have not received a letter this week either.  Mine came on a Thursday as well.  This does seem somewhat odd, but like everything else in bc, it's out of our control and I'm sure there is a reason for all of it.

I got a letter from my daughter today. She said they are moving ships because of maintenance on the building or something like that (her words). She said that they are getting their military IDs this week and she is very excited about that which is kind of funny because she has had a military ID (dependent) since she was 10 yrs old. She also said that they are starting week 4, or hell week, this Friday.

It is not unusual for divisions to change ships during BC, and it usually is because of maintenance, remodel, etc. Ship 11 just went through a remodel, and lots of maintenance, it hasn't had divisions in it in a couple of months, so it should be all ready for them. Just let us know when they have moved and we will get the title of this discussion changed to reflect the new ship.

Keep sending our mail to the current address until you hear from your SRs that they have moved. Any mail that has been sent to the current address after they have changed ships will be forwarded to their new Ship.

Has anyone heard if they are moving? Seems like a long time with no news..just a letter last week! I want to order the coin and ribbons, but not sure which one to order.

I didn't even get a letter from my SR last week, I am really hoping to get a letter on Wednesday.  My husband and I are leaving to go to our cabin for a week on the 4th, I wrote my SR and let him know to call my cell phone.  I just want to hear his voice and know that he is doing ok.

No letter or call from our SR either. The last we heard from him was a week ago from last thursday.

Really is quiet here without him.

I have heard nothing as well.  I ordered my coin and ribbons.  No letter though and no phone calls for almost two weeks.  SUCKS!!!!

I am going to order ribbons too from Lala- I assume their division will stay the same even if they change ships. If that is not true I hope a veteran mom will let us know. Unfortunately I had already ordered a coin for ship 14. I don't know if I should exchange it or just go with that one or give her one for each ship. What a predicament !! Any advice??

I ordered ribbons and the ship 14 coin.  I have not heard, but don't want to not be able to order anyway.  I have not heard anything either.  If they change ships, hopefully we will find out soon so we can order the alternate coin.
