Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 271 and 272

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi

I can't wait to get home and check the mailbox on Thursday... so far i've gotten a letter from my SR every week!! I'm soo thankful to hear from him.Was hoping to hear his voice. it's been 2 weeks. ;-(

Anyone Ship03Div271 gotten a phone call?  A couple of letters arrived, but no one has gotten a call in 2 weeks, not even his girlfriend!  I'm wondering what's going on.

My son called on Father's Day. Then we got a letter saying that we shouldn't expect a phone call for a while. Not sure what was up but from reading between the lines there are some in the div who aren't team players. Which is crucial. So no calls due to a few bad apples. Grateful for the letters!

5 of us leave New Orleans July 24 to drive to Great Lakes.  I am sooo excited and getting more so every day.  No phone calls for going on 3 weeks; I understand that some need to learn teamwork.  I pray that those will learn it quickly, and we will hear the voices of our SRs this weekend.  What an awesome country we live in!

SHIP 03 DIV 272 is calling. Stay by your phones.... Happy Forth of July!!!!  They have finished hell week and was told "They've been FLAGGING" a lot of their tests! Great news our prayers are helping!!!!  My son mentioned their on hold his week "5 Hold".. i believe that means it doesn't count towards their BC days... Does anyone know for sure?

Received a call today....my son is Ship 03, DIV 272...hope you all received calls!!

My grandson called, but I missed it!  :(   Hoping they can call again on Saturday!  I guess the worst is over!  Thank God!!!

My son also called but we missed it.  I was at work and his dad was in an area where he didn't get reception :(

He did say in his message that he will call tomorrow, i hope they get to.  Happy 4th, everyone.

I talked to my son yesterday!!  I had missed his first 2 calls- he was exasperated about it too- he sounds great and says all is well- he has made good progress with his PT ( his weakest area) and is ready to graduate!  He is division  272 and it looks like they have  a very good, seasoned Commander!.  He says they are down to 85 SR now.  I told him to be on the lookout for any recruit that won't have family at graduation- hopefully we can all try to take an extra kid with us so no-one will be left out. Looking forward to PIR!!

Yesterday was a red letter day; got a phone call AND a letter!  I am a happy woman!!! We leave New Orleans in 18 days!!!

What is with this site?  We NEED words of encouragement!  We r within 3 weeks of our PIR!  Let's hear some chatter!!!

Last week was a great week, got 2 calls on the 4th one long one and one call back saying he had a couple more mins and called back to just say I love you mom.  Then, also got a call on Friday while I was at work.  We had a good chat really missing him.  I can't wait until BC is over so we can do calls and skype any time. The count down is on.
